    205/30 T4 s369 vs s364.5

Most of the turbos we are testing have the "air flow" maps.. AKA compressor maps. But that does not tell the whole story. We have found the best thing to do is slap it on a truck and run them back to back to see what really works best.

    205/30 T4 s369 vs s364.5

If you start adding too many graphs together on the same sheet it becomes a mess and hard to read. I like comparing 2 maybe 3 at the same time. Here is an example why... this is one truck in the past year with all the different setups we have tested. Gets a little confusing when you overlay...

    205/30 T4 s369 vs s364.5

We have thought about trying to make some sort of interactive graph/app/web page where you can select each setup we have ran and overly them. Its easy for me to do from my computer, then screen shot, then post the pic online... but it literally turns into 1000s of options. I live for this...

    SXE472

Don't want to muck up this thread... but thought this would be nice to add. We just recently had a truck on the dyno with the same turbo. sxe72/87/.90 Truck had 350/200s on it but still rocking a single hpop while waiting for his duals to get repaired so he had to run a 3.0ms tune. So the...

    FFD Rail System

Sorry, we are out for the testing. We blew the motor up... ended up being a crazy issue related to the CPS. It crapped out on the dyno and sputtered during a hard dyno pull. The hard shock bent a few rods. Rebuilt the motor and got it all back together and kept eating cam sensors (ford...

    205/30 T4 s369 vs s364.5

We did not do the s366 with 205/30... customer jumped up to the 369 because that is what everyone "swears by", saying it tows amazing and is the perfect setup. NOT TRUE FOR HIM. That is why he dropped back down to an s364.5 The 238/80 and s364.5 truck is a little smokier and harder to tow...

Garrett 38r rebuild option from KC

So you have an upgraded garrett 38r... maybe it is a few years old or maybe even a few months old. Until now there were no good options when it came to a rebuild option or upgrade option. There are no rebuild kits available and the upgraded center section from Garrett is so expensive that it...

6.0 KDD Aluminum Heads with Porting options

hahaha... you ready to tear you truck down again already? Maybe we should bump the power up a little first and take full advantage of those compounds

2006 tunes with kc stage 1

If the vanes are "stuck" then you can usually tell by monitoring the truck.* VGT duty cycle will either be stuck at .15 or .85 Here is another test to see if your vanes are cycling.* This a simple test, just plug and unplug the vgt solenoid while the truck is idling.* You should easily hear...

2006 tunes with kc stage 1

We highly recommend checking for boost/exhaust leaks. New parts leak all the time so it does not matter how old your boots and clamps are. I would say 95% off all customers that call in with "new turbo issues" end up being a boost/exhaust leak. It can also be a sensor crapping out, chaffed...

Curious if anyone has tested the 6.4 vs the 6.7 starter and if one is actually better?

6.0 KDD Aluminum Heads with Porting options

Big things coming out of Kill Devil Diesel Motorsports. They have their new 6.0 aluminum heads IN STOCK ready to ship. These are the very same heads we ran on our KC Turbos race truck and Charlie Keeter ran on DPC/UCC truck, they have spent years testing with great success. The biggest...

    FFD Rail System

Actually... that is why dyno's have "corrected numbers". Because you can't keep all variables exactly the same even 1-2hrs apart. The "corrected numbers" take into account temp, altitude, humidity, etc... all the variables that change. It uses a fancy formula to "give and take" as needed to...

    KC STAGE 2R TEST

For 155/30, wanting quick spool up, towing, and higher altitude I would go with the s1 turbo for sure. It is a great match.

    KC STAGE 2R TEST

We plan to have something ready by Jan... but it is going to be radically different. But I am not going into any details at this time. Sorry.

    S369 SX-E for 250/200s?

That is gonna be pretty laggy/smokey... really fun once you get the turbo spooled but by the time you get the turbo semi-spooled and starting to clean up the smoke it will be time to shift again. You lose a lot of boost with a stick and will repeat the process in every gear. I would go smaller...
