    Degas cap pukes coolant sometimes

Finally getting a chance to take my truck in. I will update what the shop finds, and what I’m doing to get it fixed. I’m definitely going with arp 625 studs this time, unless it not a necessary upgrade. Also, I’m adding an odawg s3r intake.

    Degas cap pukes coolant sometimes

The degas psi fluctuates when it shifts at high rpms. Taking it in. The long block has a 3yr unlimited mileage warranty.

    Degas cap pukes coolant sometimes

Little update, maybe. My motorcraft thermostat came in, but I decided to try something before changing it out. I have a digital combustible gas indicator I carry in my welding truck. Before opening the degas cap, it still had 7psi, and had been sitting for a couple days. I turned on the truck...

    Degas cap pukes coolant sometimes

Idling it’s fine. It stays low. You have to get hard on it to hit 14psi+. Local parts store didn’t have an indicator. I have to order one.

    Degas cap pukes coolant sometimes

Hooked a gauge up yesterday. After truck is warmed up, it will reach 14-16psi. Tried a few different tunes, same thing. Never puked though. On a hard run going uphill, it will hit 17-18psi, then back down to around 14psi. Egts 1000, eot 195, ect 200. Upper radiator hose is hard as well. I am...

    Degas cap pukes coolant sometimes

I haven’t checked the upper hose recently, but it wasn’t hard when I last remember checking it several months ago.

    Degas cap pukes coolant sometimes

My 06 sometimes pukes coolant out the degas cap. It has a kdd stage 1 long block, Kc stage 1, oringed heads and oem gaskets with arp studs, and 175/stock injectors. I used to run an atlas 40 as well. I have tried the atlas 80, but I dont like the extra egts that come with it. I’m going to hook a...

    Weight

With my 19 dually, I haul 20 5x6 rolls of hay on my 40ft dual tandem all the time. Each roll averages 1500lbs, plus the 10k lb trailer. No problems. I scale 37500lbs with my 310sg backhoe. I also haul my welding rig with the same truck, while loaded.

    Upgrading turbo

It’s gone. No gauge. Just soap check on connections. I didn’t figure the intercooler was leaking on the core, but it’s possible. I should probably try again.

    Upgrading turbo

The tunes are set up the same way as tsd tunes. I sometimes run it 5th with the tow haul on until I want it to shift to sixth. I like the tsd tunes as well, they just seem to run hotter than the warren tunes. I checked it for boost leaks pretty much the same way. Plugged off turbo inlet...

    Towing with level 17-19 f250

I have a 19 dually. I think the spring pack is the same, except for the overload. With 900lbs tongue weight, it would squat maybe 1.5”. I run Firestone bags, so I really don't worry about the squat. It rides much better than riding on the overloads.

    Schaffers 722 for 2017 6.7powerstroke

5w40 is full synthetic, and the 15w40 is a blend. They have different additive packages, but at operating temp they’re both 40wt oils.

    Upgrading turbo

It’s my welding truck, and weighs 13k. Dually on 35s with 4.10s. It’s fine all around until I hit a decent hill. Most boost I see is 28-32, pushing it hard. No boost leaks either. That’s through my live wire, so not 100 percent accurate. Running 175/stock with wdi tunes. I have other tunes as...

    Schaffers 722 for 2017 6.7powerstroke

I know more people that run 15w40 In their 6.7s than any other weight. It’s recommended for b20 blends or severe duty.
