    2006 f350 steering gear leak

    My power steering pump also had a small leak, so went ahead and ordered a motorcraft replacement. The hose from the steering gear to the cooler was also leaking, so I’m going to replace that too. Hopefully that takes cares of the problem.

    Oil question - lighter grade vs oil additive for cold start

    I always ran Mobil 1 until I tried Schaeffers 9000 5w-40. My 6.0 loves it. I also changed over my mowers, welders, the duramax, and my gassers. The 6.0 starts quicker, idles better cold, and also picked up a solid .5mpgs. I just put new injectors on my 316k 6.0, and it’s never ran this good.

    Had a couple hours to work on the truck and she’s up and running again. I’ve never seen 3950 icp until now, and it runs so much smoother. Idles extremely smooth at around 580-590 icp.
