Fuel additives for cleaning and overall upkeep?
Always had good results with diesel Kleen. I recently started using Schaeffers diesel treat and it’s great too. -

It will crank up in about 10 seconds after it shuts off. I don’t have much time to check it out. -

2006 f350 steering gear leak
My power steering pump also had a small leak, so went ahead and ordered a motorcraft replacement. The hose from the steering gear to the cooler was also leaking, so I’m going to replace that too. Hopefully that takes cares of the problem.- Diesel625

07 shuts off after a few minutes
Helping my cousin with an 07. Completely stock with 198k. Truck takes about 4-5 seconds of cranking before it turns on. The scan gauge reads about 600 then shoots up to 1000-1300 before it starts. It idles fine for about 5-7minutes before it begins to idle rough. The icp stays around 8-900, and... -

My 06 started to feel like it has air in the brake and steering system. The abs light comes and goes as well. Oil question - lighter grade vs oil additive for cold start
I always ran Mobil 1 until I tried Schaeffers 9000 5w-40. My 6.0 loves it. I also changed over my mowers, welders, the duramax, and my gassers. The 6.0 starts quicker, idles better cold, and also picked up a solid .5mpgs. I just put new injectors on my 316k 6.0, and it’s never ran this good. -

Bad old style dummy plugs. Also a couple worn out orings on the injectors. She starts immediately when hot too. -

Had a couple hours to work on the truck and she’s up and running again. I’ve never seen 3950 icp until now, and it runs so much smoother. Idles extremely smooth at around 580-590 icp. -

Good call 6.0 tech. I put some oil in the rail and pressured it up and it seems to be holding just fine. I’m going to see if I can make time in the next few days to button it up. -

Well, got injectors and stand pipe with dummy plugs on passenger side in. Still didn’t put hpop in, but pressured up through the branch tubes. Still leaks. Used nothing but ford parts. I can’t tell for sure, but it seems like the leak is coming from the nipple orings. Other than the injectors... -

I’ve decided to go back with stock parts. Ordered a set of reman motorcraft injectors, standpipes and dummy plugs, stc fitting, going to reseal the oil cooler, valve cover gaskets, glow plugs and orings. My 06 is down right now due to a no start condition. Short story, I tested the high pressure oil system past the pump through the branch tubes and immediately found a leak on the passenger side. I am waiting on my air adapter to test the pump too. Tore it down and the standpipe orings are blown...- Diesel625

Was thinking about getting the 155 Warren injectors. Are they worth running over stock on a non tuned truck? I know I’ll have to get a tune after the injectors though. I’m still running stock bolts. -

I couldn’t wait for my iPr port test hose to come in, so I went ahead and started tearing a few things down to test other parts of the hpop system. As soon as I took the hpop cover off, I noticed it had the updated stc fitting. Pulled pump so that I could pressure up the rest of the system. I... -

Got the adapter to air test through the iPr valve. Should be here in a few days. I’m thinking about going ahead and tearing it down and doing some upgrading while she’s down.
