Garrett 38r vs Diesel site Ball bearing turbo

On those injectors, you can close the WG on down. You won't see more than about 35-38 psi with it completely closed.

    Hydra users-Flush mount finally done!!!

I'd be in the market too. My bro-in-law as well

    hid lights

I've run 2 kits for well over 300k miles each. The first kit failed when it was 9 years old, they told me to send it in, and two weeks later I had a brand new kit. I guess everyone either gets lucky or is unlucky. Just about everyone I know runs their kits around here and I don't know if anyone...

I've had the best luck with DDM Tuning kits with the slim line ballasts. Very well priced too.

    Banjo bolt upgrade 7.3

This thought right here is why I installed the strictly diesel banjos when my motor was out. Gain anything, doubtful, hurt anything, nope!

I think DP Tuner is too.

I did the driven diesel ones. Figured it can't hurt.

Garrett 38r vs Diesel site Ball bearing turbo

175/80's are a nice match for the 38r sized turbos. I ran them with my 38r. My goal was a smooth running tow pig that was fun on the street yet reliable. Plus I didn't want extensive fuel system mods right away. Met all my criteria. And I love them even more with my T4 BASB.

    diesel site waste gate upgrade

All I'm saying is any injector 180cc or smaller, and there is no need to worry with an upgraded WG actuator on a 38r. My boost to back pressure ratio was never more than about 1:1 to 1:1.5 on mine. But to each their own.

    4r100 upgrades????

I ran DP tunes for years with a valve body and the shifting was better when he adjusted the tunes for it than it was running without one with and adjusted pressures.

    4r100 upgrades????

http://www.jlpracing.com/jlp-valvebody-core-charge/ I see that they do now require a core. Didn't when I bought mine in 2011.

    4r100 upgrades????

I've been running the Johnny Lightning valve body in mine for 300k miles. Tuners say it's very very similar to the John Woods. The ones that have live tuned my truck that is. They are always in stock and never requires a core.

    diesel site waste gate upgrade

When I had a 38r with my 180/80's, I just adjusted the WG actuator arm so that the flap could not open. Never was a problem on "smallish" injectors.

    7.3 injector rebuild

Having run a couple different brands, Full Force gets my vote.

    HPPO FAILURE .. NEED OPINIONS/ADVICE

Run at your own risk IMHO. Fwiw, I have almost 200K miles on my Adrenaline and it's just as strong today as it was when I put it on. That HBJ shouldn't have been so tired as young as it was IMO. I think the fact that they replaced it says enough about where the blame lies for your situation.

Any chance the hoses will be made available for purchase separately?

Are new valve body's worth doing?

Isn't it easier on the pump if you let the VB do the pressure increase? Thought I read that one time.

    7.3 turbo and related parts

Maybe look into the Dieselsite billet 38r. The KC38r seems pretty good too.

Donaldson Blue 6637 air filter, better flow and filtration

I guess that's why he needs a pre-order of 50 to even get them.
