    Mechanically Injected 7.3 Trucks Info/Pictures

Turbo I do not know.. They posted it on Facehooker and man the Cummins guys are knee deep making claims with no dyno sheets. I for one am impressed as I believe it will be able to pull in the prostock class pretty decent.

Dynamic Diesel has anyone used them yet?

Have you got your short block in yet? I bought another Triaxle dump this year and would like to get the ball rolling on this engine.. I saw that Dynamic used to be Detroit Machine and I had a good friend from back home who got burnt pretty bad by them is all.

Dynamic Diesel has anyone used them yet?

I read one thread where the individual had said the ceramic coating looked as if it had been rattle canned on their pistons... I think I will go with swamps or irate for my Delipped ceramic pistons with that being said. Whew that’s risky business right there..

    Who ports 7.3 heads?

Contact Eddie Ingram, at Performance Cylinder head and machine, he is located in Dunlap Tennessee, phone number is 423 554 5149... He is a big time NTPA porter that built the engine that set the Talledega track record that Bill Elliot drove. He is very reasonable and is considered to be the best...

    Can the E4OD take this...?

The E4OD can be built just as tough as any 4R100, the problem is this, you don't have enough clutches in your intermidiate, forward, or overdrive assembly. The tcc circuit in the front pump is very important, sonnax or transgo had their fixes.. Be careful drilling out the orifice for the lock up...

Let's spitball... 7.3 with shorter stroke?

The guys who are using P-pump set-ups they have developed log style intakes, with individual runners, take a look at Smokin Addictions engine build.. Now that is way out of most individuals range of nature, but I've wonderered for quite some time what would some runner style intakes do for head...

new CK-4 spec'd oil ok for use? Delo 15-40

The zinc and phosphorus reduction is to extend Nox and soot sensor life. Detroit Diesel and Cummins have asked oil manufacturers to basically do what they did in the early 90s with automotive to reduce oxygen sensor failures. The idle vapor when idling has been ruining nox sensor after nox...

    700 hp goal build

Two cylinder head men to consider is Eddie Ingrahm and Robbie Crutchfield.. Cylinder head work is pricey.. Depending how deep you go, Ferrera valves, custom springs and roller tip rockers just for 160/100s is a bit dumb.. Now for 300-450 cc injector that's where head work shines. Then we can...

    Build opinions

I ran 250/200s and a useless D66 rebalanced with a wicked wheel and got mid 500s.. Did 575 on Clarke Powers Dyno but I don't think it was that accurate as we dynoed lots of trucks. I still have the engine and the egts were hard to control hence the scored cylinder walls. I ran studs springs and...

Dumb azz not paying attention destroyed my truck

Talk to a lawyer immediately, if any damage was done to her physically the settlement you should qualify for should more than enough pay for that truck to fixed... Fuk the corporate insurance companies. I slammed progressive after consulting a lawyer, got more than enough for my F350 and they...

7.3 Bore wear with Clevite Mahle plasma moly rings

I contacted Mahle clevite yesterday (1-800-223-9152) and they said if oil consumption was not present as well as lower amounts of blowby present then run it.. An old machinist for grooms said that may have been the heat transfer of the plasma moly coating that caused the cylinder walls to look...

7.3 Bore wear with Clevite Mahle plasma moly rings

I wiped everything down with paper towels and starting fluid and used paper towels as a reference to see if any residue was still present.. I rehoned block as soon as I saw the scuffing and tried again with same results. Was not scoring the bottom part of the skirts. Block was cleaned with hot...

7.3 Bore wear with Clevite Mahle plasma moly rings

What I mean by break in is the oil consumption virtually stopped. First 3 oil changes engine went through 1 qt to 1.5 qts. I haven't removed pistons yet. 15/40w oil was used to coat the skirts and I measured all ring gaps.. Every single piston ring was gapped. And the scoring when assembling...
