    600% nozzles???

Morgan is right in the end I believe, no matter what we do with them, nothing will outflow the big P-pump or even common rail, guess I'll keep scouring boneyards for a usable core for a solid 2.6 engine. An 84 F350 with a Period Correct P-pump would be pretty cool I think..

    600% nozzles???

I'm curious to see what HRT brings to the table, I'm on the hunt for a good E9 mack pump to make what I want work, I will be impressed though if he makes big power though. This system is such a hard system to build real big power with, and having the pressure drop over an injection event is what...

    600% nozzles???

I think it has alot to do with pop off pressure, once the fuel overcomes the fuel needle return spring its under alot of pressure, and once the orfices become exposed the first real batch of fuel is injected, in my opinion that PRESSURE loss is what is causing the HPOP oil drop off, once the...

    600% nozzles???

At 600% I believe its a control issue, when the needle lifts and exposes the orfices inside tip the fuel is then release so soon that the flow go from a solid mist to a steady stream, but my theory is this... With an extremely large quantity of fuel per shot, more fuel per stroke you have more...

    600% nozzles???

Thats the input I'm looking for, how many years ago was that Groomzy?? I'm just wondering what kinda fuel the 650s woulda flowed with say 600% nozzles or would the fuel molecules be too large for any good power to be made??

    600% nozzles???

At this point I wouldn't be too worried about idle quality for big power, the P'pump engines that are 13mm/14mm quick rate cammed engines don't idle too smooth either. I know the biggest issue is getting enough oil in and out, would BTS, Gen3, Termies be enough. I think to myself, how much would...

    600% nozzles???

Who here has ran larger nozzles, 400% and larger, what are the benefits, and how many sets actually exist with nozzles this large, this is speculation only, not a thread to hate on heui, we all know the power potential of P'pump engines and what they have proved, just wondering what larger...

    Building 7.3 sledpull engine

Power goal, what class do you want to pull in, budget, how competitive do you want to be and do you have a good local machinist.

    Building pull truck have ?

I've done some pretty deep research now, I can see how a flow bench, knowing what boost pressure you might possibly be running, and how much fuel you will be using will determine what a duration and lift will be needed. I could see how too much lift can cause a lack of velocity and port swirl...

    Building pull truck have ?

350/200s with a street cam, Gen 3, good port job and a good machine shop putting a true 5 angle valve job will get you there, a few guys are running Ferrera valves and Manley springs now matched together. Put a good balancer on it and a swamps IDM to keep it at High rpm will make a solid 750hp...

    Best 2.6 charger for a 7.3?

Very nice truck Morgan!!! Would a drop in center style rear end out of an F550 work?? Like a Dana 135, I know those are a pretty big rear?? Or are we looking at a little 18,000lb rated single now?? SQHDs come in many sizes and setups, do know the weight rating on it??

    Best 2.6 charger for a 7.3?

My two cents on the 2.6 class is it should be an affordable class that is competive in a sense.. Heres my rule book idears: 2.6a charger, 600cc fuel per cylinder limit, compression ratio no less than 16.5:1, Engine, Trans, Transfer Case and Rear end must come from 1 ton pickup, ballast allowed...

    Best 2.6 charger for a 7.3?

I wonder what it would cost to overhaul an ole Mack P-pump off of an E9? I heard they are already 14mm if I am correct??

    Best 2.6 charger for a 7.3?

It think even on a gear drive set up, if you had the time.... the time to sit down and figure out exactly what you needed, and spend hrs fabricating a cover, kinda set up like a 3406E/C15 have an inner geartrain plate, the pump mounts to the plate, fab up an intermediate housing out of aluminum...

    Best 2.6 charger for a 7.3?

Ya know Hot Rod Tractor you're my hero, you keep innovating behind the scenes when others give up!! When I talked to Cass his exact words were, "when you can clear what fuel you have with even 450/400s I'll get you some more fuel".. Even others know the possibilities in CNC and understand...

    Best 2.6 charger for a 7.3?

Thanks for the positive words DMDP, if I get serious I will be making a trip to Buddy Gambills Surplus on Hwy 231 to scour the yard for a 9000 series 8 cylinder pump if I ever make it that far.. I'm more worried about the 14mm pumped 12v's at this point... Thinking 400/400s, S400 based charger...
