    Will a 1996 F6TZ-9A451-F engine wiring harness work on a 1997 f250 HD ?

Looking at the factory EVTM diagrams, it looks like there might be some differences (there is some "weirdness" around the 97 EVTM info on the TPS wiring for one). I'll have to take a deeper dive if I have the time. Cheers!

    Will a 1996 F6TZ-9A451-F engine wiring harness work on a 1997 f250 HD ?

See if these help. Is the big firewall feedthrough connector (C202) part of the harness? Cheers!

Single Cab Passenger Window Not Working

Thanks for the follow-up. Glad you got it fixed. Cheers!

    Can I swap two injectors?

The different injector (long lead type) was a Super Duty specific thing to address the infamous "cackle" problem. It does not apply to your 96. You can swap the injectors. Don't forget to remove the fuel and oil that will drain into the cylinders before restarting! You don't want to...

    Trans slipping/shifting hard

Looks like he's using FORScan, so he should be able to (his screenshots above show them). Cheers!

    See the attached. Cheers!

    Trans slipping/shifting hard

MAP frequency and pressure should move under load. BARO really shouldn't unless you're going up/down in altitude. Cheers!

    Trans slipping/shifting hard

MAP and BARO should be reading about the same (as each other) at both KOEO and Idle. Cheers!

Which mechanical gauges to pair with CTS3?

Pyrometer, boost, and trans temp (if auto trans). Maybe oil pressure if you prefer to use MAP for boost. Cheers!

    ZF tranny reverse switch location

Yeah, on a stock ZF5, it's the only wiring that goes to the trans. I did have a trans temp gauge fitting to mine. Maybe these will help the OP as well. Cheers!

    ZF tranny reverse switch location

IIRC, driver's side just below the ID plate. Cheers!

    Whats normal?

Warranty is only good if they back it up (make sure to thoroughly read the fine print) and the company is still around if you need it, Cheers!

    TC tail shaft installation

I like The Right Stuff (Grey) or the Motorcraft TA-31, but I've never used them for your application. Cheers!

    Death wobble, my turn!

Does having the camper attached unload the front end (do you run a weight distributing hitch?). Cheers!

    Steering column interchange

What's the GVWR on that f250 7.5L? I've always been under the assumption that 8800 lbs and over were no required to have airbags. Also, there is nothing in the factory service manuals (Workshop or EVTM) for 1997 F250 HD regarding an airbag (anywhere: Steering column, power distribution...

Yeah, they might be a little low if he hasn't checked them since 2012. Cheers!

Turbo pedestal oil leak after replacing O rings

They've started getting the Garrett non-EBPV pedestals back in stock now. There more expensive, but I'll take the better quality. I've got one waiting to go on the 97. Cheers!

Powerstroke swap wont start with key

The paper version of the EVTM is much better to flip through. I wish you could search the electronic versions by circuit number! I have paper in the 94 and 97 years and 96-01 on DVD (All Ford models with Shop Service, EVTM, and PCED). You want the EVTM for the year you have as there are some...

Powerstroke swap wont start with key

What you need is the 1996 Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual (EVTM). It is broken up by system (engine controls, starting, charging, lighting, etc) and there are easily over 100 pages to it. Then you have to research each individual circuit number and find which pages are applicable...
