    Coolant temp guage gremlin

You might as well just get an aftermarket gauge that comes with an appropriate sensormand use it in place of the factory sensor. It might take an adapter however. Cheers!

    No right blinker...HELP

On that same fusebox, look on the backside from under the dash. There is another flasher there. Cheers!

    No right blinker...HELP

Here's the wiring diagrams for them. I would still suspect the Multi-Function Switch, but maybe swap the flasher units around in the fuse box and see if the problems follows. There is one on the frontside of the fusebox and another on the rearside (one for hazards and one for turns). Cheers!

    ID this oil leak

Glad you noticed the crack and were able to find a newer updated one! Cheers!

    ID this oil leak

Place the long one down on a table with the end with the holes in it towards the bottom. Then the shorter one goes inside the long one with the flange on towards the top. Then the spring drops in. Now this assembly goes into the round hole in the header, spring first. Cheers!

Yes you are missing the disc. The picture you found is of the updated header with the snap ring. If you found the disk (I did not on mine), you could put the parts back in and re-stake it. I ended up buying the new updated header (F81Z-6881-BA, it lists for $543.22, but can be found online...

    ID this oil leak

Yes. The regulator parts are on the backside of the filter housing. The bypass valve can be viewed when the oil filter is removed. The early trucks as can have these parts just fall out. They updated the housing later to hold the parts in with snap-rings. On my 94, I had the bypass valve...

    ID this oil leak

JMHO: Use Ford/Motorcraft O-Rings and gaskets only. Don't use aftermarket parts. Too many horror stories of them not sealing. Also, since you have a 95 it probably still has the oil cooler/filter header adapter where the filter bypass valve (spring/washer/disk under where the filter screws...

Anyone have experience with Cali 7.3's?

If you go with the AA injectors, your old harness and PCM (should be a DPC-203) and programming should be fine. ****** the shunt on the GPR. You could probably leave the pulse damper on the fuel pump banjo fitting without issue (or if you have the old banjo fitting/fuel line assembly you could...

    No start after motor swap

If you are running the 97 California engine harness on a pre-97 PCM, there are a lot of differences in wiring (see your other post where I explain some differences). Cheers!

Anyone have experience with Cali 7.3's?

You would want to go back to the original harness using the original PCM (reprogrammed for ABs). Late 1996 Cali trucks that had AB injectors used a MIF-series program for automatics and AUG-series for 5-speeds. You would get rid of the shunt on the Glowplug relay as there would be no...

Who's replaced rear door lock actuators on crew cabs?

Sorry I don't have a part number for you. I bought mine off ebay and it was off some other Ford vehicle. The rod was different, but I used the one off my truck. You have to drill the large rivet out that holds it to the door on the edge. I used a bolt and lockwasher to put it back in. It...

Broke off glow plug, remove heads?

Can you grab part of it with some needle-nosed vise-grips? There has been some success with using those with some all-thread in place of the adjuster and something with some weight behind it as a slide-hammer setup. You could also try some Mercury Power-Tune to try and dissolve any carbon...

    Battery Light Never Comes On

I've never quite had the inclination to verify on these trucks, but many times the bulb circuit serves as the circuit to excite the field windings on the alternator. Alternators are not "self-exciting" as are old-style generators, so if the field winding are not provided with voltage the...

    ZF-5 temp gauge and cooler

For mine to get hot, it would take a good climb with the 5th-wheel attached. For everyday cruising around it would stay fairly cool. Cheers!

    ZF-5 temp gauge and cooler

The Fast Coolers increase the fluid capacity, but they really don't do much (IMO) other than increase the time it takes to get hot. There will be a little cooling, but not like using a pump and decent cooler. Cheers!

    ZF-5 temp gauge and cooler

Not sure a fuel pump would handle it (both temp and viscosity). I could get my ZF-5 up to 250F when I owned my 94. Here's some stuff I wrote a long time ago regarding a cooler and pump: Cheers!

    UVCH question

Yeah, the old ones with the plastic holding tabs used the seals. The later units with the "bail wire" clips don't use seals. You don't need them when using the newer UVCHs (and they won't work if you try to put them on the new units). Cheers!

Romping idle, "missing" under acceleration, low boost, poor mileage

Try a new transmission range sensor . Cheers!

    Electrical Ground Map

A bad ground usually won't cause a draw. Put a meter inline from the battery positive lead. Note what the draw is. Start pulling fuses until the draw goes down. That will be the circuit that the draw is on. Cheers!
