Ford Stated That The Super Duty Lineup Will Receive A Redesign For 2023

They won't because the general public that are buying these trucks want every bell and whistle that they can put on them. When was the last time you saw just a basic truck out on the lot? I don't even know if you can purchase a XL truck anymore with having to special ordering it. Sent from my...

Tuning the 7.3 in current times

    High output alternator?

From what I have read stay away from their electrical parts. They are just putting out Chinese junk now and I have herd of a lot of failures. See if there is a automotive electrical rebuilder in your area and talk to them. Also don't forget that if you upgrade your alternator to a higher amp...

Question about Forscan and Codes I have

Clear the codes and then restart the truck and see what comes back. The PCM will store the codes until they are cleared.

    Broken overflow tube on radiator

I was thinking that. The first change that I did using it a mechanic asked me where I got the pink coolant from. We ended up flushing it out for a water pump change out. But it is a good coolant.

    Broken overflow tube on radiator

I've seen brass barbed fitting screwed in and epoxies work just fine. But what coolant are you using? Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    12v constant on 97 F-250HD powerstroke 7.3L D.

What connector do you need the voltage at? If it is on the hitch wiring the key needs to be on to power the trailer charge wire. There are no 12 volt constant power points unless the wiring has been changed from stock Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    FORScan and adapters

I actually have two of the ELM 327 adapters, one in each vehicle. I figure that I always have my phone with me so if something pops up I can plug it in and start to figure things out. If I am at home I'll just use my laptop with a cord.

    FORScan and adapters

I don't know if you will get any real clear answer on the Forscan forum or not? https://forscan.org/forum/ I picked up a adapter off of Amazon for around $30 that works on both my 96 and a 2016 Explorer, but it is no longer available. I am running Forscan Lite on my android phone, and I have...

97 OBS 7.3 running cool on the gauge

The PCM does not monitor the coolant temperature. It does a number of things but not that. To monitor the temperature you have to install a actual gauge and sender. Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

97 OBS 7.3 running cool on the gauge

If you want to see really what it is running you will need to install a actual temperature gauge. Perhaps the previous owner put in a 190 degree thermostat instead of the stock 195 one.

97 OBS 7.3 running cool on the gauge

It's normal. Even with the 203 degree thermostat the gauge runs around the R and M in normal. The cooling system is way over built on these trucks Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    Glowshift gauges any good?

Much prefer analog gauges to digital, a lot less that can go wrong and there is just something about the needle when it moves Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk
