    Battery Light Never Comes On

Patrick's post is right on. The voltage to excite the alternator goes through the battery light in the dash Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    U Joint Removal Tool

For 30 years I just used the socket trick with a hammer. Now I just use my shop vice and a socket. I don't do it enough to purchase a dedicated tool for it. Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    block heater srsly......

What are the temperatures where you are at? For most areas all that is needed are the glow plugs Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    block heater srsly......

They don't really heat up that much. The coolant will be warm enough to warm up the block and a bit of the oil to aid in the starting of the truck. Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

Couple upgrades to the f350, reman zf5, southbend dual disk, denso heavy duty starter

My problem with knock off parts is that when they fail they usually fail in a place where I am going to need to walk quite a few miles to even get cell coverage. I just as soon as pay the money and get a quality part and not have to worry as much. It doesn't mean that that quality part won't...

Couple upgrades to the f350, reman zf5, southbend dual disk, denso heavy duty starter

The big thing on the Denso starter is to make sure that you are getting a real one and not one of the Chinese knockoffs that are out there Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

Is my tank selector going out again!?

I'd take the valve off and clean it along with checking the wiring to the tanks senders. Sounds like part of it is switching and part isn't. If it was pulling from the rear and returning to the front you would have a pretty good diesel leak once the front overfilled.

    Excessive washer fluid use

I'd put a gallon back into it and while parked on the driveway run the washer a few times and see if you can see a leak. There also might be a crack in the reservoir Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    Distribution hitch

I'd use it. Once you load all the stuff that you're wife wants into the trailer along with food and water that trailer will weigh alot more and a proper set up weight distribution hitch is well worth it Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    Speedometer & odometer problem

I had them check mine over for a problem that I was having and they did a great job of cleaning it up. My problem ended up being the VSS that I didn't replace properly. But I figured that I am now good to go for as long as I own my truck Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

    Mobil 1 as fuel additive

I don't know if I would put a synthetic oil into the fuel. Dino oil would be fine but the additives in the synthetic might cause problems with the injectors. Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

Wiring harness schematic for kill switch

I'd just put a on/off switch controlling the starter solenoid on the fender. Most crooks are not going to pop the hood to try and trouble shoot a no start.

    97 7.3 crank no start p1668 code

You can also check for power on pin #14 on the IDM plug with the key on to make sure that it is getting power. The code that you are getting also says that there could be a problem with the Electronic Feed Back Signal Output from the PCM but I am not sure what values you need to see on that...

    97 7.3 crank no start p1668 code

Change relay #2 in the under hood box, that is the one for the IDM. The fuse should be good since it is on #9 which is also the PCM fuse. I don't know of any way that a person could test it other than finding someone with a 94-2003 Powerstroke with the 7.3 and swapping them.

    97 7.3 crank no start p1668 code

According to the code it could be the PCM or the IDM along with their wiring or the power to the IDM including the ground to the IDM. Sent from my SM-J737V using Tapatalk

OBS Bench Seat to Captain's Chairs questions

Perhaps the OP needs to clarify a little. Do you have a bench seat or do you have the 40/20/40 seats? In the first post you mention that it is a bench and then in another it sounds like you have 40/20/40 seats.

    cps 10mm bracket bolt

I'd pick up a drill stop that connects onto the drill bit before I even started to drill. https://www.amazon.com/Drixet-Drill-Stop-Bit-Collar/dp/B073VS72R3/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=drill+stops&qid=1553472257&s=gateway&sr=8-3

    cps 10mm bracket bolt

If the front cover needs to be removed you need to pull the engine to reseal it properly. You may be able to do it with the engine in the truck but you are risking it leaking.
