Distribution hitch

Got a distribution hitch when I purchased a 30 foot toy hauler, should I use it? Seems like unneeded weight hanging off the back of the truck, towed it about 25 miles home with a 16K hitch with a 2K tongue rating and it towed fine, didn’t seem to sway or upset the truck. Used my 97 F350 with air bags, thoughts?

I'd use it. Once you load all the stuff that you're wife wants into the trailer along with food and water that trailer will weigh alot more and a proper set up weight distribution hitch is well worth it
