    6.0 Low Boost

On your boost leak detector you can remove the intake elbow and make a small block off plate. It will be a bit a little work but use some thin plate, get paper or rubber gasket material and make a metal block of plate. Drill the holes & sandwich in between the elbow and intake manifold. Start...

    please help

:whs: If you're having coolant burping, even w/ a new cap then it's likely a HG issue unless you've overfilled cold. FWIW, I had mine at a shop for an AC issue and they "topped" off my coolant and the drive home it over flowed. Ford issued a TSB as I recall as you can overfill cold and it...

    4.11 Gearing

I put a detroit-locker no spin when I did my swap and loved it so much when I got my 6.4 I had one put in during a warranty issue. Paid the difference out of pocket but it was well worth it. Detroit tru-tracs are cheaper but at least their helical and are more aggressive than a normal LS but...

    HO alternator

It's a large case 6G now so I can only say that it will fit that mounting style, whereas the original was a small case 6G. It was setup w/ the internal voltage regulator on the 7.3 so unless there is something unique to the E-series I don't know why it wouldn't work. I did some googling and...

    4.11 Gearing

I put 430's in my 7.3 6spd and in retrospect it did just fine what I did w/ 3.73s it and 35's. I found that 35's and 430s' wound it up a bit too much for hwy as I like to do 5-10 over. 80mph w/ 430s killed my mileage down to 15-16 IIRC. Before the swap I was getting 18-19 at the same speed...

05-07 remote start plug and play?

I removed one out of my Acura, and I pulled one out of my Chevy and there were at least 8-10 lines spliced into the factory harness as I recall. I figure they are all part of some sort of progressive feedback loop but I doubt there is anything aftermarket the ave joe will find "simple" and or...

05-07 remote start plug and play?

I'm in for a sub. Want one too. Every single one I've found requires ample wiring so I'm venturing this is the only reply but you may also want to post this in the electronics thread.

How much ya'll asking for the e harness? I've pondered a way to relocate but don't want to break the bank.

My original factory was leaking at 298k on the exhaust side. I replaced w/ KC unit. You could do a simple rebuild and call it a day.

    HO alternator

Singer sold this to me $485, the regulator was acting funny last year so that was upgraded to a newer style regulator. While he was in there he upgraded the rectifier to a newer HD style as well. The upgraded regulator and rectifier was $80 IIRC. I'm asking $350 on the nation and org...

    HO alternator

It was designed around the 7.3 and on my 99 it was perfect. On my 6.0 I experience some belt slip. I have no desire to try and juryrig shims or try to find a shorter belt. I have found some belts that are a few mm shorter on amazon but they are pricey and nothing can be found local. I live...

Coolant leak from passenger side of motor

Had that happen on mine after about 6 months of doing the dee-lete. Noticed a drip again but I'm seeing some build up of deposits around the heater control valve. Its -1 so I'll deal w/ it for now but when it warms up some I'll pressure test the system. But I'd venture it is one of those...

    Electric fans.

I want to say the research I did on electrics would confirm the "need" for relays. I the initial amp draw does spike but even then I want to say that 2 fans, at least the chevy 350 and 5.3 variants run close around 8-10 amps at operation so having the relays may not be 100% necessary but good...
