Check voltage on the center pin of the valve cover gasket connector. Should be around 120v. Should be able to do this with the truck running. It would be even better if you can find something that will handle that much voltage for a visual load test, being a lightbulb or similar. Sent from my... -

For a quick test not o ringing the injectors would be fine, as long as there aren’t any that are damaged. I wouldn’t run them for much longer than a couple trips around the block though personally. If the fault is internal in the injector, on the electrical side, unplugging them one at a time... -

I doubt it’s compression, it would be very odd to have an entire bank so far down on compression that they won’t fire. Also, if it were that low on compression, you’d have diesel damn near running out of the tailpipe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

In theory a buzz would indicate that it’s working. However there is something that buzzes during the test that is not the injectors. I’ve had one bank unplugged unknowingly and the buzz sounded ok, not great, but it threw the bank 1 hi to low failure code. 2.9 ohms is high if you’re homing... -

June of 2010 is definitely in the build date for the issue. Unless it has had an engine put in it already, I would pass on it. Replacement motors will have stickers, typically on the valve covers or core support that say this engine takes glow plugs blah blah blah. Can’t remember the exact part... -

Non VGT compounds
For whatever it’s worth, I work for KC turbos, and on our drop in turbos, we’ve broke 1000 with 100s. Probably wouldn’t recommend driving it daily or towing super heavy at that power level, but we typically have it set around 900, and it tows around 10k no problem fairly often. Smoke in Cab on Acceleration
Check the up pipes for leaks, guessing it’s got aftermarket exhaust, check where the down pipe slips together, exhaust manifolds, ebp tube. Those are all common spots. Another thing to do is put it in the smokiest tune you have and have someone power brake it while you’re checking under the hood... -

Your link just went to their homepage. But scrolling thru it, it appears to be factory style replacement, so much better than running the Napa pos a lot of people run.
