    Stock intercooler limits

Hello all, I don't have a 6.7, but I dabble in projects that require intercoolers, gas and diesel, and these can be found a good bit cheaper used than similar aftermarket air to water intercoolers of similar size.. As the title suggests, when does the stock 6.7 intercooler actually become a...

    2011+ axle swap question

I gotcha.. when/if I get those axles, I'll just sell the rear for a 05-10 rear.. thanks for answering my questions fellas!

    2011+ axle swap question

So just so I can understand, what is different about the sensor and tone ring in the axle? Would a guy be able to swap a tone ring from an earlier 10.5? I ask this because it's been my understanding that since the 10.5 was introduced, not much has changed in the basic parts, like the newer e...

    2011+ axle swap question

So theres a ton of information I've found on swapping 05+ axles and suspension into our leaf sprung trucks, got that covered.. I may have an opportunity to buy the axles and suspension from a 2012 f350, that was a cat service truck, gasser 4x4... my buddy is trying to buy it from the cat...

    Radiator choices

I don't have an issue with the ac not being cold from coolant temp, more of the fan runs a lot more often than I would like it to, or did before I went to the 203 lol.. I think I'll do the ball valves though, that's a good idea for the summer..I run good coolant, delo/cat elc, so I'm not super...

    dieselsite head studs

Anyone run the dieselsite head studs on their trucks? I know ARP is considered the best, but at right about half right now, it's hard to not give the dieselsite ones a close look https://www.dieselsite.com/1994-2003dieselsite73lheadstuds.aspx Just wanting people's actual experience with them...

    Radiator choices

The reason I want the 203 is because if I take it to north Dakota, which is where I work, it often gets to -30 lol.. and right now I have a thermostat housing I can't get off, so it will help prevent that from happening again.. at least that's how my little brain works lol

    Radiator choices

Ok, that's what I thought.. I'll have to think about it, because like I said, I don't really have cooling issues right now, other than my 203 thermostat is a little too warm on 90° days with the ac on lol.. I think I'll switch to a 180 thermostat during the hot summer, and keep the 203 the rest...

    Radiator choices

I'm sure this has been beat to death, but my search didn't really turn up much for my question.. Which is, is there an aftermarket radiator worth going to? I'm gonna have to replace mine soon because of damage in the center, I'm not having any issues with overheating , just wondering if there...

It *shouldn't* too much.. I found a 1.0 housing on fleabay for $70, and the turbines are the same price.. so it would just be how much the machining would cost.. I wonder what the tolerance is for the turbine housing to turbine?

    Kc300x

I've done some research on the whole obs turbine upgrade, and the hardest part I've found is finding a housing that fits the 70mm turbine.. I agree that it would be ideal, and I think I am going to look into having the 1.0 housing machined to accept it.. thanks for the idea, didn't know they...

Hmmm maybe I will throw it in the budget for a 1.0 housing.. I'll have to think about it, I didn't think about it how you just said it.. thanks for you input, gives a guy stuff to consider

    Kc300x

I think I will.. I am slightly hesitant to go with a 1.0 housing because I don't want the turbo to spool slower, I know the bigger sticks will help with that.. I just figured I would run the .84 housing because that's what I already have, and if it works great, then no extra spent.. I'm afraid...

The rebuild kit in the 66mm kit does have the 360 bearing.. I looked on KCs website, and I don't see the 70mm turbine and housing

    Kc300x

I think I got my game plan together, and I think it's better than leaving the stock turbo alone, and it gets rebuilt at the same time.. and less than half the kc drop in.. and should provide more performance than just bigger sticks with the stock turbo.. DIY 66mm kit -$255 Kc s300 turbine wheel...

Everyone makes excellent points! Thank you.. I guess how many miles I put on my truck a year, usually going through the middle of nowhere, I tend to worry about high mileage turbo.. probably not warranted, I've always ran good oil and changed it, but still.. If I do my injectors, I'm going to...
