    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

Alright, it has been a while since we have posted results. We had some High Pressure Fuel issues that we had to work through, parts delays, and honestly not wanting to post data until we were SURE of what we were seeing. So we tested, retested, and verified the data we were seeing. This is...

So a bigger TURBO is not always better?

Turbo sizing matters!!! We here at KC Turbos get asked this question all the time and there is so much confusion around the subject. We might a video going over in detail with actual data explaining why bigger is not always better. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions. Post...

    GTP38R vs the KC2

A lot comes down to sizing and what injectors you go with and what you are planning to do. The 38r is old tech with a 66 comp and stock 68mm turbine wheel aka 66/68. They are both very old designs and turbos have come a long way in the past 15-20 years KC has multiple options KC stock plus...

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

Testing has been super slow... it is so hard to get any parts from any vendors. Our prototype parts have been pushed back in every category. Sorry. I wish I had more. I will update as soon as we are able to get parts and build some new options to test on the dyno

    160/100 vs 205/30 Injector Testing

We did put 238/80 in the truck... but ended up melting a piston before getting a lot of data. But the quick end of it is... 205/30 run cleaner, cooler, towed with ease... didn't hardly have to even pay attention to EGTs or RPMS 238/80 had a lot more power on tap... but was not really needed...

Maybe opening a can of worms but.......

Not sure if Adrian with MTW is still around... i have heard rumor he is still building stuff but has taken himself off the internet. But you should not need any specific fancy tuning for the turbo. Any custom SCT tune writer should be able to get you taken care of.

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

Non-gated for now. Will probably add them later on to see how it affects things. But I fear gates are a "deal breaker" for many people so we want to develop the turbos to not rely on them.

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

Yes sir, working on that. EZ Lynk has some limits that we are working through. We want to be able to read everything through the stock sensors instead of adding something like an Edge. So right now we are maxing out the stock sensors... but we don't know how much  Hoping to have it...

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

KC Turbos is back at it again. Testing our 6.4 Harley truck with some drop in turbos. We are still working on just the LP turbo options. This one is my favorite so far. It is a 75mm drop in unit with a lot of upgrades… no other drop in compares. Upgraded comp cover, 4” inlet, anti-surge ring...

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

Got the KC Turbo Harley test truck back on the dyno again. We added a Midwest Dual Fueler kit... way more work than we originally anticipated. Dyno results below. . For those who have not been following our write-ups... we are doing a lot of R&D on the turbo side to build the best drop in...

    New build!!!

I would do a 2600 stall with that big of a turbo. TC lockup switch is super easy. Just google it. There are lots of write ups

    Kc turbos dual hpop

Sorry, I am not sure who relayed the message wrong to you but this is a Kevin Cyr twin pump kit (not a cnc fab). KC turbos just re-sold them. We are waiting to get more from Kevin Cyr and are currently trying to source our own parts. Would you like me to contact you if/when we get them back...

A little info about KC Turbos

Many of you might not know me personally... but I have spent the better part of the last decade on these forums making friends and learning about these trucks. Thought this would be cool to share on the forums where it all got started. https://youtu.be/6SlQLhzLgEU

    KC Turbos 6.4 turbo testing

We will be testing how a larger HP and LP turbine affect the ebp/boost ratio and whether it is worth it on stock injectors.
