When the bowl heater shorts it blows a fuse for the pcm, can’t remember which one off hand, but before condemning the pcm check all your powers and grounds. We’ve had decent luck with those guys on idms, can’t say I’ve ever run a pcm from them -

Extra external motor oil cooler?
My personal feelings on external oil coolers are they’re typically more headaches than they’re worth. You’re putting another heat source up front, therefore the intercooler, condenser, radiator, etc don’t work as well. External lines tend to have issues leaking over time. You’re adding stuff... -

Best stage 1 option for 2017 Ford 6.7L with aftermarket pipes and intercooler, & CCS tunes
I’m a bit biased, but I recommend a KC turbo. We’ve worked closely with Amdp tuning to get them running absolutely perfect, to the point the guys at Amdp prefer tuning our turbos, as they know that what they tell it to do will happen. Ours also have the option to whistle like a 6.0….- 6.0 Tech

2009 6.4 fuel filters need changing too often.
Hot shots makes a great product, I’d have no issue running it. And you’re welcome for the help, ain’t a lot of us still on here, but the ones that are tend to not be morons, and will typically steer you in the right direction. -

Water definitely is t good. The water separators on the factory pumps isn’t huge, so if you do have a bunch of water in the fuel, it’s only gonna have a small amount in it every time. If you want to put an aftermarket pump on it, I prefer air dogs over fass pumps, I feel the install of the air... -

I recommend changing fuel filters every 10k. What do you mean by they were in bad shape? If they are dirtier than truck stop pussy, you’ll probably have to pull the tank and clean it out. If they’re full of metal, you’re looking at a fuel system. Are you getting fuel from reputable places, or... -
Weird Electrical Issue
What’s voltage at when it first fires? Could the hids be pulling voltage below 10ish volts? Like bad battery or both, or a lazy alternator? -

What color smoke? White/gray would indicate coolant, blue is oil, black is fuel. Although white could also be fuel, but it’ll have a very different smell than coolant. Lots of people have put duals in 6.0s. Pretty sure banks had it as an option in their “power packs”. They do fit, it can get a little tight around the spare though. It’s funny, with the 7.3 it’s the opposite of our 6.0 turbos. With our 6.0s we have a very small amount of customers that hate the whistle, whereas with the 7.3s there’s a very small amount who like the noises of the 38r. We do occasionally have people irritated that our turbos aren’t noisy enough.- 6.0 Tech

We sell a set of bellowed ones. Haven’t had many issues with them. You are a late 99, right? Our early 99 ones don’t fit the greatest, we may have fixed tha though. That one turned out nice. Ran pretty damn good. Think we have it away in July or September or something. I will say, our turbos blow the 38r out of the water. At one point I swapped about 15 turbos on tha truck on the dyno as comparisons.- 6.0 Tech

When the part number changed from the 6a642 number to the 6a810 they’ve got now. My guess would be around 21-22, probably Covid changes. I any more do not recommend ford oil coolers. They changed a couple years back and blow dirty donkey balls anymore. Can’t tell you how many I’ve put in only to have worse splits than I did before I did the work. Ipr makes a remote cooler that uses a 6.7 oil cooler, I’ve never installed one, but...- 6.0 Tech

Unbolt the connector on the side of the trans. And see if it blows the fuse. That will indicate if it’s in the trans or not. Doesn’t rule out outside wiring though. Also, I’ve had a lot of fan clutch wiring have issues under the air inlet, as well as where it comes over the fuel filter housing...
