    100k, runs like crap

I’d look for exhaust leaks as well as boost leaks. As far as the whine goes, see if it does it key on engine off prior to the fuel pump shutting off. Could have an air leak somewhere causing that noise, could also explain the rough running. What all is done to the truck? Sent from my iPhone...

EGR delete got me into a little pickle

So, if you can’t get it out, you’ll need a front cover. You can try a torch, and try and basically burn the o ring out of it. I’ve done that on a few 6.0s when the heater tube is stuck. Have broken a couple of front covers doing it, but I’m probably 50-50 on it working. Sent from my iPhone...

    04 ex w/low hpop pressure

We use goerend converters. We’re running one in our race truck, and most of our test trucks as well, and haven’t had any problems outside the race truck, but that doesn’t count from a longevity point or anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I stay away from picks, as I’ve seen pumps scored to shit from them. You’re obviously better than a dumb ass lube tech, but the last thing I need is to be in a hurry and then have to pull a tranny cause I was too rushed to pay attention where I put the tip of the pick. The 1/2in drive extension...

    04 ex w/low hpop pressure

Use a 1/2in drive extension. The edges are rounded so you won’t fuck up the pump housing. Stick it in the pump, and get the tip of the extension on the filter seal, then basically pry it out. Should pop out fairly easy. You’ll be using the bottom of the pump as your pivot point. Sent from my...

    Golf ball pistons

Yeah it’s fun for the most part. lol. Swapping turbos up on the dyno on a hot as balls truck is rough, but the perks here outweigh the cons. Hp on the 6.0, is very versatile as you e got control of the FICM as well. Biggest thing about it in our opinion, is being able to tune out the quirks...

    Golf ball pistons

Ok, I must’ve missed the part on their website about 2 engines at the same time. I saw the 13000 hour number and the 18000 hour number, and assumed I guess. However, in what you posted, their numbers on the 7.3 truck are not impressive. It also doesn’t have before and after testing with it...

    6.0 dropping boost

In hp tuners you can tell it it’s a manual, I’m sure there is some way with ids through programmable parameters you may be able to, or forscan or something. We use hp on the race truck and run a 4R, so we just clicked the manual trans box in hp, as the 4R is on a different computer Sent from...

    Golf ball pistons

So in doing some reading on their website, i feel it reiterates the point of an a and b engine, everything the same, aside from pistons. I’m wondering if x claim was made after testing on a wore the f out motor, that needed a rebuild, and now all of the sudden with their pistons it’s x amount...

    Golf ball pistons

Hers the short I saw. No personal attack felt, and I’ll admit I haven’t dug too much into this. The breaking surface tension thing makes sense, in a non direct injected engine. The same reason that polishing intake runners doesn’t work, in that they need turbulent air to mix the fuel and air...

    Golf ball pistons

I was just talking about this with a marketing guy at the shop today. He had seen a YouTube video on it in a 6.7 and it allegedly quieted the engine down by x amount. However, while watching it, I noticed the stock engine went to an engine with a piping kit installed and heat wrapped, and it...

    water in fuel alarm

So, 10yr old thread, may not get a lot of answers. However, you may have a short in the circuit causing the light to come on. Thats basically all the sensor is, is a short to itself to turn the light on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    6.0 dropping boost

Could be something where it’s getting hot and expanding as well, and with it on the ground it’s cold enough to only be a small leak, but once it’s up to temp and the intercooler is heat soaked, everything expands and it gets bigger. Hopefully that’s all it is, and it’ll be out of your hair...

    06 ebp normal readings

Yeah verify boost leaks again. Dumb shit happens when people take stuff apart and put it back together again. Tsd guys are good people, but sometimes shit happens, and shit gets missed. May have a tear in a boot or some dumb shit like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    6.0 dropping boost

My guess is you’ve possibly got a boost leak opening up, or an exhaust leak. What’s all done to the truck? Tuned, egr, exhaust? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    06 ebp normal readings

Ok, that’s normal, when you did your boost leak test, how did you do it? And is the egr still on the truck? Including a cooler that flows exhaust? If so, I’ve seen egr valves leak, that don’t really show up on the computer, but a pressurized boost leak test, you can hear air from the tail pipe...
