    Sounds like the direct drive clutch or forward planetary let go inside the transmission. there are some drive tests you can do, Does it move in manual 1? or Manual 2? The transferase doesn't know the difference between forward and reverse, most likely not the problem.

    I think the regulators were the same, but the door locks were different. Just verified part numbers on rock auto. Window regulators are the same.

    Very well written, I always go to, if it were true someone would have bought the technology by now argument as well. Fuel additives was a big one for a while. If you can guarantee me .5mpg someone would have bought the technology, or we would hear of large trucking fleets running it.

    If your shifter cable/linkage checks out, then the transmission has to come down. You cannot replace any hard parts by pulling the pan.

    It is internal that is for sure. The E4OD which should be what you have, will move without electronics forward and backward. So maybe like a forward drum or direct drum failure. can't remember for sure, been a while since I have been in one, but certainly has to come out of the truck.

    PCS is one I would still like to call but if they are like any of the other tuners they don't actually control the solenoids and do not have outputs to control solenoids or relays. They simply load their software in place of what is already in the PCM At least that is how it was explained to me.
