That whole entire harness might weigh a couple pounds?
But if you set on doing it then it's just a matter of doing it. Nothing really to look out for. Just start from the front work your way back
My bad, I thought the 11-14 trucks only had wastegate turbos . I stand corrected. They are all vgt.
Should be able to activate or utilize that brake function through tuning like others have said.
13s did not have vgt turbo.
I'd say get a custom tune to utilize that function.
The factory exhaust brake works really really good. You don't need to add one.
In this particular case ICP means nothing. You have restrictions in the rails so naturally ICP is going to make you believe everything is so much better.
What matters is the HP difference. Plain and simple.
If you have a truck in desperate need more oil and falls flat on the top end this...
It's not going to be a fair comparison if your switching pumps and doing all kinds tune changes now is it.
I like your thinking but the only real way to compare would to take a truck with b codes and/or any oil hungry injector running an adrenaline or any single hpop. Now do back...
Here's my take on it.........
They probably did some testing and found that icp was up and less codes were thrown for low icp. So they thought they had the 7.3 version of curing cancer.
In reality they got those results from the new restrictions in the oil rail.
No one yet has posted...
There is nothing to debunk. Can't argue with physics. It plain and simple is a bogus ploy to make money in the aftermarket diesel world. It ranks right up there with changing your hpop res oil.
The simple fact that after 170 posts later and months and months go by nobody has come forth...
I had more tune revisions from multiple tuners then I could count. They changed timing and high pressure oil and everything thing else they could think of. Nothing fixed it.
I've since sold the truck and now have a 6.7, guess what, no more haze. Lol
It's funny because back when I had my 175/80s from pis I complained from day 1 about the cold haze . I was like a unicorn. Now everyone comes out the woodwork complaining about same issue. I always knew something wasn't right with those injectors.
10 blade compressor wheel is virtually silent. And compared to a 38R everything is silent. Lol
Glad you got it figured out. As a hot street truck that does not tow should be fine! .
It will only run more efficient and cooler at full throttle. Cruiseing it will run hotter. Just nature of the beast with big turbos. This is why people dont run large chargers on tow vehicles, they dont run efficiently down low in the rpm range.
That's great , glad you can do some testing.
Too bad you couldn't do it all on the same dyno in the same day. As we all know air quality and altitude play huge roles in numbers. Looking forward to see some results.
It would put the previous tune back in the ecm
Deppending on your year of truck if I remember those Hs minimaxxs only worked with the early model 6.7s.
