So if I check it and the oil pressure is real low or no oil pressure I need to pull the LP oil pump then

or a bearing clearance has enlarged to the point where pressure cannot build. (internal engine damage)

When my old truck had no oil pressure I had some bent push rods that were dumping all the oil out the lifter holes.

OK so I pulled the injectors and glow plugs out tonight and everything looked good but I did notice the number 2 cylinder was FULL of diesel fuel no oil just diesel.. So I think I have a stuck injector.. But it still doesn't explain the no oil pressure.. The pushrods looked good to..

Dave,

Is it possible that the injector also has the poppet stuck open and is blowing oil. Would that cuase enough hpop volume that it could overwhelm the lpop supple to the hpop es enough to drop pfezsure in the res to not registar.

Its hard to accept that the injector blew at the same time as the lpop.

Its not a external hpop leak such as a cracked or bloen hose as you would habe bathed the engine bay and if left has a fair chance of igniting.

Like Dave my first thought reading the first post about raw cuel whitr smoke and inj knock wsz blown or cracked nozzle. Mine did exactly that as have others. Stuck wide open I would assume is the same result. My only thought is its the inj that is cuasing the lpop psi drop as well. I know first hand it can do this with big oil and inj even with everything working.

I am assuming this is a stock engine as nothing wss mentioned about the setup and nothing in the sig line about the config.

If the oil is pouring of the inj the ipr would be max'd and at low rpm / idle hot the lpop is moving the lwast amount of oil at the lowest pressure. It would seem like the setting to have the heui side to be able to overwhelm the lpop system. That is my thought anyways.

That's what I was thinking to the injector stuck open and it was maxing out the HPOP to.. But I wasn't sure if it would do it as much as to make there be that low of oil pressure.. And yes the truck is stock except for intake and exhaust..

I would wait and see if Dave confirms it but yes that is my thought.

You know the injector from the fuel so you have that isolated and identified. If you have alot of miles on those injectors might be time for them to be rebuilt anyways. Your best bet might be to send them off to Dave Swamps or Nate Unlimited etc.. But I do not know your situation.

I was looking over the injectors real good last night and found a crack that goes from one end of the copper washer up and over the tip and back down to the washer on the injector I thought was sticking

Yes it is !! Earlier I asked where the easiest place to take oil pressure was and I was told above the oil filter is a 1/8npt plug.. And I'm finding the only 1/8 plug is close to one of the bell housing bolts not really close to the oil filter.. There are a few plugs above the oil filter but i think there 1/4 & 3/8

its on the end of the oil cooler where you spin the filter on. just left of center.

Sent the injectors to Dave's Diesel in Angola Indiana and as I figured the one that filled the cylinder with fuel was cracked and the other 7 flowed 10cc +/- what they are suppose to flow so I decided to go with 175/100's from him and they are gunna burn my chip for free also since I went with there injectors he waved the testing fee of $45 per injector..
