03 excursion squeaking

Lots of noise from the SERP belt.
Sprayed some wd on it while running to get it to change, it did, but didn’t go away completely.
Anyone had a tensioner go bad?
Ideas?
Belt look great.

Get a new belt. While the old one is off, spin each of the idlers and see how they feel. If you’ve used belt dressing and have that crap built up on the pulleys, change the pulleys (and tensioner) so you don’t destroy the new belt.
Also, while you got it apart, see if the front seal is pushed partially out.
I fought the belt chirping on our Excursion for 25,000 miles. All new Ford idlers and tensioner, 2 different belts, 2 power steering pumps. I noticed the front seal was pushed partially out, but not leaking. Finally figured out that the rear half of the thrust bearing was in the oil pan, and I had 0.090” end play on the crank.
Put another crank and bearings in it and the belt didn’t chirp any more.......

Most likely it is something simple, like the belt, and an idler.
There is the very slim chance it could be something major, like I experienced.

Tensioners go bad. You might try spraying your WD into the bearing area of each of the pulleys as you light find the one that’s bad. Mine would squeal on start up with a bad tensioner.
