05 turbo in 03 truck

My parents have an 03 f350. They want to swap out the turbo to an 05 to quiet the whistle down. What needs to be swapped?

Should be the turbo, all the fasteners, and the newer pedestal. The VGT solenoid should plug in and all the CAC piping, up pipes, and exhaust pipe should be fine.

Won't work in a 03 because of the crossover tube in the back of the intake.

Matt can't you change out the intake and turbo

Yes you can. But a lot more work. You would be better off just buying a muffler

Does the hpop cover affect anything or just the intake?

Let me talk to my buddy he did it

You just need to change the intake to a non crossover style and use the newer pedistal, everything else is fine, including the HPOP cover.

That's it I was going to put a non cross over intake on my 03 because it's a pita at times when you need to get back
