So I'm running the stock transfer case behind the 4bt in this ride, a BW4417. Everything had been fine, but I just had a significant issue. I was about 6miles from home and I took off easy at a stop sign and I was just creepy crawling. I was in 5th and it was barely doing 30mph. I finally recognized the transfer case somehow went into low, but it wasn't via the dash knob as it was still in 2hi. It just randomly dropped into low. The fluid was confirmed to be low
I pulled the shift motor off of it and it didn't even work!!! Real bummer. So I tried to manually shift the trans case into hi and it didn't do anything. I could rotate the shifter shaft but it never felt like it was shifting anything. I even had it up on stands to remove any bind and it still didn't feel like it was shifting. Anyone have any thoughts on this?? I have a hunch this won't be simple....and there goes my northern Minnesota vacation next week.
