08+ mirrors????

ok guys have a question, sorry if this is in the wrong spot. Anyway ive got an 04 truck and i have put the newer style mirrors on it, I was just wondering if all the 08+ mirrors have a removable top piece? I was wanting to get it painted to match cant seem to be able to tell if it comes apart?

The full textured ones do not come apart. If it had a chrome cap or a paint to match cap it will come off.

OEM textured have no cap. Aftermarket textured do.

I would never waste the time to paint match textured product.

If there is a crack around the cap, it likely comes off.
