A buddy wants to make his 11 6.7 a little quicker without deleting because of the state he is in.

Thinking of this setup for him

CAI

SCT TS 5015 W/ IDP DPF on tunes

MP8 or Torq 2.2?

I got a question for you guys would a MP 8 or IDP Torq 2.2 increase power over a just the tune/CAI setup?

and I see that the Torq 2.2 not on IDP site anymore that's the reason for the choice of the MP8 is the torq 2.2 still for sale?

Also any other DPF on tunes out there besides IDP/SPE? he not totally locked on a setup we are just brainstorming as of now also any other products beyond just CAI/tuner for more power without doing 15 turbo swap/15 pump?

Sorry I don't really follow 6.7 DPF on performance scene LOL its usually straight to deletes.

If you got any info/opinions please chime in.

Thanks in advance.

Agreed..Call Steve..Thats the type of set up I have..DPF on and she works flawlessly. You might also want to look into an intake.. in which he manufactures.. and an exhaust in which he sells. Makes a safe 515-525 hp and shifting is spot on.

I think you're a lite high compared to what everyone else sees. 525 is pretty optimistic.

I'm pretty new here but from reading it seems your the guy to go to. I just got a 2012 f450 and was wondering if they make a tuner that helps with milage. Thanks ,Daryl or if I could get your number so we can talk

All I can say is, good luck. I was 100% convinced that I wanted DPF on tuning and purchased all my stuff through Mike (Innovative tunes and S&B). The tunes were great and the intake was an intake. However, my addiction was just beginning. I just got done emailing Mike telling him that he was right and I needed DPF off tunes and more power. He laughed and didn't even say I "told you so" once.

Point being, if you're dead set on DPF on, Mike is your guy. When you decide that DPF is a better option, Mike will still be there with the right stuff at the right prices.

I did the same thing!!! Oh, I'll just be happy with more power, I said. Then I'd read here and watch YouTube videos of all these guys trucks and being a Gearhead anyway, that lasted 3500 miles and off it came. Now I replace the DPF once a year to get tags and as soon as the truck is ready to go through emissions, I come home a rip that crap right back off!! It doesn't stop!!

I went Dpf on with 35's and it greatly helped but 525.... Doubt it. I have a Dyno sheet of mine Dpf present with H&S canned tunes. I'm sure you can ring a little more out but not 525. IMO

I believe I read it in diesel world magazine. Something about picking up 97 hp in 30 minutes. I wish I could find the article.
