Exactly! This is terrible in a Ram.
Would any of you be interested in a 500HP or 550HP version of the QR file?
I would definitely be interestedWould any of you be interested in a 500HP or 550HP version of the QR file?
I called you and you hung up on me
This has been the gripe in recent years with most new diesels across platforms. Between the throttle response dampening, torque management, etc. they all feel slow off the line or laggy. I think that is the biggest issue with driveability, stock and tuned. I'm glad to hear you are addressing it.

yeah right ...
Actual throttle sensitivity was not altered. The same amount of pedal will produce the same amount of torque as before.
This alters (removes, rather) the pedal lag time. There are ramps for transient pedal movements that create pedal lag.
In other words, you give 20% pedal in an abrupt movement. The ECM dampens that response by ramping the pedal from 0% to 20% over a period of time. We removed that time period, allowing a direct response from the pedal to torque management.
Any way to incorporate that peddle feel for the 11-12 guys?
Sounds like full price trade-inscall me.

Is this the same when you let off the pedal? It goes from 20% to 0% with no dampening? I had cruise control on and when I tapped the brakes it felt like this was happening.

Correct. If it's too harsh, I could dampen that event individually before we release production files.
Yes, and there will be a file out for it. Jeff is testing in his truck now.
