I really think its the tuning. Once you get to 3/4 throttle.... this thing takes off like a damn rocket. But I don't wanna hafta use 3/4 throttle all the time. If I can have power come on like 30-35% throttle that's be awesome. I had Eric try to get it to come on earlier but it just wasn't coming as soon as I wanted. I never experienced the light switch effect in his tunes. As I'm sure that's what most are seeing with the TSD SPD tune.

Are you going to try TSD tunes to see if it makes any difference?

Yes, but its in storage till spring...or least till when the snow is gone. Gonna try some TSD tunes before I take it to Warren.

I forgot that you were in NY, here in south Texas it's 76 degrees today.

I've got Eric's tunes in mine with the late lockup. IIRC, I think he adjusted the vanes a bit to try to knock out the surging. The truck runs pretty well, other than some surge in OD with the TQ locked and under some load (either a grade or towing). I can see boost come on quick, but I do have to watch that I don't get under the turbo...I'll see if I can get some videos of mine tonight.

This is funny, my truck is the winter beast (summer beast too) and the low to the ground sports car get put away for the winter. It isn't even safe to drive it around my driveway for fear of it going into a snow bank or the ditch - darn high perf tires!

That was right after I downloaded the tune. It was still shifting pretty firm. After a couple hundred miles or so it settles down and doesn't shift as hard
