175s and a powermax in Colorado?
My brother decided to do some mods to his STOCK EX and got a live tune and bought some gauges. The tune shop was rude to him and had him sitting in there lobby for 2 hours for his truck and would not let him see his truck getting tuned and when he got it back his clutch fan would not unlock they told him it was his truck computer and he would have to come back another day to have them look at that and it may resolve itself. He did not no any better so he drove his truck home and it sounded like a airplane all the 30miles home. he shut off the truck for a hour or so and went back out to start it up and when it started it through 4 codes and was running rough. so he put the truck back to stock and now it is back to normal. He is going back up there on Monday to get them to fix it or give him his money back. and they will not email him his tunes so he can store them on a file on his computer. Sorry I just needed to vent. The question I have is they told him he should not run 175s with a powermax at that altitude because the 175s would be to much and he should run 155s. I did not think this made any scene to me 155s are just a little over stock and 175s can be turned down if he can't handle the fuel. Any opinions would sure help.

I posted this over a month ago on another blog. After that my brother got a call from Anthony at Elite Diesel he wanted to fix this problem. So he sent him a another tune that did the same thing. He called back and said the new tune did the same thing. He wanted to bring it back to there shop to have it retuned correctly and Anthony told him they can't because Tad is to busy with the Diesel Challenge to fix his own screw up. I don't no if customer service is not important to them but with my company customer service is how I get most of my business. they took 150 buck from to live tune his truck and it has been a nite mare ever scene and now he can't even get it in there to get it fixed.

He asked Anthony to give him back his money and he has given him every excuse in the book not to fix it or give back his money. The latest excuse was he is to busy with the Diesel Challenge stuff to fix it.:morons:

Wow....check out innovative tunes.
175s would be fine for a powermax, of he's doing a bunch of towing then 155s would be the better option.

I live in Loveland and run a powermax, on my street tunes on a 15-105 mph run I can hit 1400* and I ran a race tune once, and by 60mph was at 1600* I would think that with injectors his egts will be to high to even us the power. He will need more air for the injectors.

My brothers truck is totally stock. He just got gauges and a sct tuner. I am going to send him my powermax this fall when I get my new turbo and ported intake manifold. I was looking at Elites till this last month be leave it or not.

I was too, I almost bought there intake and a intercooler, then I decided to take my grilfriend to Dinsey World. Lol. So I got to start saving again.
What kind of boost and egts do you see? I'm seeing 32psi and 1400 without a trailer on a street tune.

To me customer service is everything.........it should never take more than one or two phone calls to make things right.
