So I am dropping pressure with stock injectors and stock pump to 35 psi at WOT. I now have 190/75's, with a brand new OEM fuel pump and a Regulated Return hold 65psi at WOT? Trying to figure this out while I have the motor out.

No it won't hold 65 psi at WOT. I have 190/100s and with the OEM fuel pump, RR kit, and AD150 my fuel pressure would drop to 50-52 psi. I can only imagine what it would be without the AD150.

de-tuned it will hold pressure, I ran 190/75's with a stock fuel system and shimmed regulator for a while.

It will drop some but not too bad. I ran my 190's with stock pump and it was fine the majority of the time except for when you mash the throttle. I had fuel pressure set at 60psi and it would drop to around 50. I then got a low pressure FASS feeding the stock pump...fuel pressure never dropped at all after that.

What FASS lift pump are you using, I did a quick look and didn't see it.

... I know I'm beating a dead horse again...

but I bet most of you saying it held pressure ok, were reading at the fuel bowl weren't you?

Where is a desired reading taken from?

With stock injectors and a race tune, reading fuel pressure at the fuel bowl it shows the same readings you guys are seeing... reading behind the heads it shows dropping to 25psi or less... on an even milder tune.

I had this exact setup on the Ex. When I put the truck on the dyno, fuel pressure dropped to zero. That was the last dyno run for that truck...and not too long afterwards, she popped her gaskets.

I will do a sump to a fuelab with custom filter setup feeding into the heads. RR is out of the question for me... I think. Though I might copy what PGreenSVT did on the ORG with his regulator in front of the heads.

Realistically... I'm a cheap ***ker, so I'll probably try out the stock 6.4 pump feeding my stock 6.0 pump.

This was with 190's and a stock fuel system?

I'm running a fuel system I built with a dozers return I bought and modified, mine regulates the fuel after the heads and returns down the factory suction line

I had a stock 6.0 pump feeding 185/70s with a regulated return. held 62psi everywhere. pressure measured at the regulator.

Any benefits of a low pressure feeding a stocker?

Seems like only an a1000 or the like would be less expensive & a proven setup

id like to know this as well. is the 15 psi from a lift pump enuff to make the stock pump hold up to the fuel demands of the 190s
