I got a set of 37x12.5 mounted on 8 inch wide wheels with 0 offset. Ive been searching through the forums but running into a bunch of dead picture links. would i be better with a 4 inch lift or 6 inch lift. The truck is currently stock. This is all for planning. I also dont have the money to run a carli setup but i am not looking to run a rough country set up. Pics and help would be appreciated.

you prolly better go with the 6inch....you might be able squeeze them in with the 4, but I would bet you would neeed to trim some stuff, and prolly still have rubbing.....a 6inch I doubt you rub at all..

I have 37x12.50 on factory fx4 17's on a levelling spacer. Pull back the liner or use a heat gun and something to shape it. Doesn't make contact anywhere but at full lock it rubs on the radius arm. The backspacing on those wheels 5-6" should keep you from rubbing. I think the factory ones are 6.75" and it has to lean to rub turning right out of parking lots.

@Halestorm55 do you have any pics? because im not a fan of the trucks that are sky high to clear tires, but i also dont want to beat up my fenders to ride on a stock suspension.
Do you have issues driving it at all either?

Only place it rubs. Aftermarket 17 or 18 inch wheels shouldn't at all.

Thank you. One last question. How big do the tires actually measure when they are mounted on the wheels?

I have a pic with a +12mm offset and 5.5in back spacing . Zero rubbing. I did cut my fender corners, wanted to be able to stuff my tire in offroading while turning.

Thank you for the picture. And does anyone have any info on the difference between an fx4 f250 and a regular f250? All I can find online points to having an electric locking diff, but I for sure know I don't have one. I have the build sheet for my truck and it does have the fx4 package.

In 2005 the fx4 did NOT have a elec locking rear diff. That started in 2011

Only difference would be rancho shocks, and skid plates.

Hight should've been the same.

Forgot about that. For non Fx4 trucks, limited slip was an option aswell? Or just fx4?

it was an option on any other truck however, FX4 it was standard equipment
