2006 F250 5R110W Trans Issue

Hi,
06 F250 Superduty, inital start up, warmed up, when placing the shifter into D sometimes it will go into Tow Mode without hitting the switch, hit the switch to shut it off & it stays in Tow Mode, place it in Park , shut it off for 15 seconds, restart, shift into D and the Tow Mode does not engage.... when I try to engage Tow Mode with the switch it does not engage, never has it engaged while driving its always once started and shifting into D..... fresh filter/fluid/ fresh filter at radiator...... 10k miles ago.... has anyone had this happen to them ? Would appreciate your input

Fair possibility of the wire for the button being damaged, see it more often on the Chevys, have you checked codes for trans?

^whs. Pull the steering column shroud off, chances are the wire is chafed against the column for the button. Typically it’s on the shifter side, about an inch or 2 from the connector to the main harness
