Hi all, question for you- has anyone changed the front stub shaft needle bearings in the hub of a 2008? Apparently it's only sold as a unit. I see all kinds of info on older superduties 2007 and down on how to change the front hub needle bearing. Anybody know if it's the same procedure and same bearing?

Thanks

It's a sealed bearing on the back of the 05 up wheel bearing assembly. Needle bearings on the 99-04 trucks. Iirc

Here is a picture of the backside of the hub unit bearing from my 2010 f350. Not sure if you could buy that inner axle bearing by itself, but there is a warning stamped on there which says not to disassemble. Makes me want to press one apart & see.

I know the ford dealer can get just that bearing on some model years. Had my dealer order me a part and showed up with that. think it was an 05 ish.

According to Fords' parts diagram that bearing is replaceable & called out as 2D118. From every thing I can find that crosses to #5C3Z-2B513-AA. Sunrises shows it as F350 FWD front wheel bearing. I'd confirm that with Ford dealer before ordering though.
