Paint color isn't different. Just the difference in a decade old and new. It's like that on all the pics in here. The clear is duller on the cabs. The paint is brighter on the beds. If you want it all to like right like it's been like that since new everything has to be repainted.

Sorry Captain Obvious I should have clarified, the "shade" is different. My comment was referring to ALL the pictures in this thread. The white one was the only one that looked decent. If your current bed is rusted and dented and looks like crap, then Id do it, but only if I found one for a good price, and only if I NEEDED it. I do agree fender flares would do wonders, but then again I hate fender flares...

Don't anybody hold back your opinions on other people's trucks. He is happy so that is all that matters. Old paint will be buffed to get matched better or we will repaint it, just on working man's budget right now.

Didn't realize we had the pleasure of being in the company of such experts.

I'm glad he is happy. It was simply my opinion, which is usually given pretty often on here by everybody. Hopefully he does not take things as personal as you do.

2000 with I believe a 2011 bed. If I didn't know, other than the big fuel door, I would have a hard time telling the difference.

Several of the county trucks around here have newer beds. When they order new utility body trucks they use the take off bed to replace the older plow truck beds. If you weren't specifically looking for it, I don't think you would notice.

We have had the same tracker all winter driving an '08 gasser with a '11+ bed and I didn't notice until I saw him fueling up yesterday.

The black hides the difference well, at least in that photo.

I must say this thread changed my opinion on the bed swap
the last one I had seen did not look good

these look fine I would still choose an 10 under bed for my 06 but if the price was right I would do this swap if I needed a bed
