My truck started randomly throwing the air bag light on about 3 months ago, it would come on, and then go off. It led me to believe maybe a loose connection on a crash sensor. The light become more frequent until now, it stays on all the time while the truck is running. I plugged it into the Id ford software and it gave me a code for a faulty crash sensor/ crash sensor not responding. The tech told me if it was the one in the steering wheel, he wasn't going to mess with it, and the scanner couldn't tell me exactly which one it was.. My question is, can the sensors be located behind the bumper/grill, and also is there one in the seat belt latch, and if I want to fix this myself, what's the best way to start a diagnostic.
