Lol, burning rubber and keeping it to the boards is no problem. Towing, mudding and all that good stuff can be done in another truck. It looks like a normal truck on here, you see this paint and undercarriage in person and the last thing I think of is mud truck.

Do it, I honestly should just leave it in St George and fly out later this winter. I am pissed we didn't smoke em, now I have to wait until spring! **** Bentley wouldn't even put it to the boards when he was driving. :wtf:

The normal socket for the factory bulb was dremeled out to fit the flange exactly on the back of the light so the light basically had a socket to sit in. That way it has more support and is in the exact same place on both tail lamps.

Jordan do you have any pictures of your tail lights from the outside? I can't seem to find any. I'm thinking they might be an oracle light pod, similar to what plain and simple uses?

They are morimoto xb pod lights, I did not use the oracle lights. Personally I think oracle is rather cheap. I had to take them apart and slightly shape the front of the pod to provide lens clearance. That is one of the only things that went wrong and needs to be fixed. One of those pods will just barely light up now. Apparently I either somehow wreaked one or it is faulty. I swear I tested the reverse lights before I sealed them but I had so many projects going at once who knows. I even resoldered the connections on the back of the light. No go, that means another 10-12 hours of work buying a new tail lamp and fitting/painting everything. :lame:

Thanks for the pictures. I've been wanting to get the time and courage to do a set of the recons like this for over a year but the time you have into them makes me think otherwise.

They turned out great, this truck is definitely a work of art
