James and I are both really excited about this big turbo. Won't have more fuel for a couple weeks.

Yes it's a 2015. Has a large turbine. I have a feeling it's going to sound very cool from the turbine. Gonna add fuel and go for 700. And pray everything holds together.

Are you doing anything with the bearings or just machining the housings and balancing the shaft?

The only stock parts in the 68 are the housings.

What most people have to understand is that there is nothing to do with "upgraded" journal bearings. That's more of a smoke and mirrors deal. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the factory journal bearings. Chamfering them is not necessary and we haven't seen any reason to do it nor any gains that could have came from them. The factory thrust is completely adequate for the stock turbine and up to our 64mm compressor wheel. We have thousands upon thousands of miles on several different variations now to prove it. The factory 2015 has more surface area on the thrust than a s366.

The big custom turbine/shaft and larger 68mm compressor will come with a 360* thrust. It is needed for that large of a turbine.

I was just curious, can't wait to hear about this and the 64 on the rollers. Glad to hear the bearings are good to go as well. I love the way this turbo runs compared to the stocker on the 11-14s.

Took some time to get the boots changed to the way the production kits are. Really happy with how it all looks. Also changed up the springs in the gate. Very happy with the results so far. Set it at 37 psi of boost and 47 psi of ebp.

The gate kit is gonna be a little while. We are going to have the tubing made and waiting on down pipes. I would say it will be after the first of the year sometime.

Until you start adding fuel on an 11-14 or get a tune that's more than 30 psi it isn't necessary. Dustin made 559 with 30 psi and 43 ebp with no gate. Pushing it harder will be when you need a gate.
