Maybe it's me, but I can't even stand to look at new pickups because of the sticker prices. $58k for an xlt is absolutely outrageous, especially when it seems that the xlt depreciate faster. I guess I'll keep buying a couple years old.

What are people paying, pm if necessary. Reason I ask is a local dealer to me has a lariat, sticker is 68 and change, he didn't want to move until I told him I can get x plan. Which takes it to 64 and change, which is still a couple k higher then dealer invoice.

Cash has no difference the dealer would rather you finance to get the difference on the buy rate. Even 12 off window can be had in Minnesota 6 months after each year comes out.

Cash has a huge difference.

The rebates come with either cash price or lose the rebates and finance. Standard issue across the US.

Clearly and simply advertised as such and promoted as such.

Many many many people are sadly misled and get the ol bait and switch at the dealer thinking they are getting all the rebates when in fact they don't get any.

I'm not saying you can't find a deal but the deal isn't what most people think it is most of the time. The markdown is a dealer markdown if its anything and not in rebates.

I've bought a new truck every 3 years for the last 14 years and sometimes new every 2 yearsish. Got a real good feel for the switchem up game. Cash is still king for any deal. The age olimit "they want you to finance" is so they can wiggle and jiggle the numbers to there benefit. Cash has zero wiggle.

It's generally cheaper from what I've seen in the arklahoma/texas/la region... but not sure if that's true anymore. Seems prices have gotten very competitive across the US.

I can say that I won't be jumping on this new bandwagon this go around.

Bought a remodel this year on my house instead of a truck! Lol...

The price I can understand for what has certainly changed but it's getting to be abit to rich for my blood. I may go used on one for the first time in along time if anything at all. May even drop back to a f150. I deal with the EPA regularly and in person. This new Era of diesel and NG is fixing to get real serious.... (I know nobody believes that but I see it and there serious and there's nothing I can say or do even tho I do not agree with them)

Arent you buying two year old trucks? You bought a 15 this summer right?

I paid cash out of my company acct and it wasnt getting me a better deal honestly. In other words, cash wasnt a better leverage. Uncle Sam gave me 5500 back for spendingthe $$$ but thats neither here nor there.

I guess I should have my employer pay cash for my new work f350's every two years and get more than 10-12k off?? Plus the new Ford Escape limited I buy every two years for my wife.

It was brand new with 27 miles on the odometer. It was brand new. And I bought it in early 16. The build date on it is the same month as a new 16 ironically when the model switch was made. Which I found kinda cool.

Cash = drop check and get keys. Mail me the title. Bye... and no I'm not doing the email survey and I hate the dealership!!! Lol

Oh. Ok. I just remember you had a white tan truck not that long ago.

Idk. I gave my BIL my order and he was excited. I dont need a new truck anymore. I don't go anywhere. I drive 9 miles each way. Im getting a work truck at my new job so i dont need anything really. Getting cheap in my old age.

I could use donething newer for weekends and such but no rush. Might be a ccsb silverado with a 6l gas.

Yeah. I miss that truck too. I kept it for awhile thinking my wife would forget it was in my shop. Actually they both were. She reminded me I needed to sell it. It sold in 7 days cash in hand from the day I posted it on CL.

Funny you say that about company trucks. I've always had one. I've put 97,000 miles on the F150 I have now for work. And I will admit we abuse these f150's (gently) and they just keep rolling. I idle it as long as I feel. All its had done is brakes and tires. Oh and a small leak on the tail shaft. She good. With that being said I never drive my personal rig hardly. Shop princess. (Didn't wanna say queen being the 6l nabbed that title)
