So, FORD Customer Service and Marketing snuck a snippet of information to me after I stated that there is no way they're going to retain my business if they cannot even tell me whether or not the color that I was hoping to order the truck in is going to be available in the 2020 model mid-cycle refresh. So, I was all set to upgrade from the 2011 6.7 F-250 and 2016 GMC Sierra Denali HD (LML) to a 2020 6.7 Platinum F-350 in Ruby Red Metallic, but, unfortunately, the Ruby Red Metallic has been discontinued for the 2020 model year 
Ruby Red Metallic WAS the color I was hoping to order this truck in, but I was told that the Rapid Red Metallic would be replacing it in the new model year. I was also told that Race Red remains an option, however, it is wayyyy to bright and tacky for me. When I asked if the FORD rep could describe this replacement color, the closest description that they could give me was that the Rapid Red was a cross between the depth of the Ruby Red Metallic and the luster of a Candy Red...
When I asked if I could see examples of the Rapid Red, I was told that there are promo photos on the website that are currently marked "pre-production" and labeled "Lucid Red", but are actually of the truck in the new Rapid Red. Lucid Red was just a concept name at the time, but has now been finalized for production and marketing as Rapid Red. I checked it out on the site and it did not look too bad, but, while still a bummer, time will tell once the trucks hit the lots in December (tentative, according to FORD rep).
Anyone else out there that HAD their sights set on the Ruby Red Metallic?
