ok so im new here. I have a couple of questions about putting 22x12s on my 01 f250 7.3.

Will i need to run spacers as well?

What offset should i get?

My truck has all stock suspension at the moment and im trying stay as close to factory height as possible, help anyone?

Alright here's a question for y'all with the 12 wides.... Are any of y'all having a feeling of tracking on the road? I know I've heard a few say that 12 wides track on the highway, over bumps etc.

I'm talking wheels not tires.
I ran a 15.50 on a truck, it wandered horribly I know how that goes.

But I'm seeing some say that a 10 wide rides better (less wandering) than a 12 wide, same tire.
Just asking opinions of guys running them before I buy 12 wides and waste $3k

that doesn't make sense. you sure you alignment is good or nothing in the front end is worn out?

also same truck? tires could be worn differently. There are a lot of variables

That's why I'm asking for people's opinions here.

I know a wide tire will track somewhat worse than a 12.50 for example,

But a few people have complained that once going to 12 wides they had wander on the road, all they did was a wheel change.

I guess that could kind of make sense since the negative offset sticks the wheels out farther apart. Who knows though

never had that issue? I've run a 12 wide on a 19.50 and never seen that issue.....I think you may have another issue bud.

every wheel tire I have had has tracked a little bit differently but nothing like you're speaking of....the worst combo I've ever come across is a 36x15.50x20 on a 20x10...it bounced EVERYWHERE...worse than my 44's which barely bounced at all.

Just to clear this up I have NO issue, I'm talking about some members that have posted of their experience.
I'm ordering wheels and wanted to see what others with 12 wides said before I pull the trigger.

I'm currently just running the factory stabilizer on a 2.5 level with 12's and 12.5 wide tires and a adj. track bar and (knock on wood) mine doesn't track too bad at all and the roads are pretty awful in richmond. Truck is also on a quick alignment job so the alignment isn't perfect.

oh ok, hey Dan, if you did that "quicky alignment" I'm gonna need your help in 2 weeks! lol

Chad

Haha nah I didn't do it lol. Shop I took it to spent the first hour pulling it in and out of the bay and complaining. Then after they waste the hour they told me thy wouldn't have time to do the alignment cams so I told them to adjust the toe and the track bar and I left so I could get to the MPD event.

My truck with 20x12 and unbalanced 420s and no alignment since I lowered it drives smoother and straighter than it does on stock wheels with balanced 285 a/t's. Jussssayin
