Gotta quick question for you guys running these injectors with a s468. I don't plan on doing any pulling but might drag it everyone in awhile. I know some of you aren't running waste gates on the t4 mount and it's run fine for you. My question is should I spend the extra and get a wastegate or run a no wastegate setup?

With the recent outbreaks of 300/200, 250/200 and s468 setups windowing blocks lately, I'd probably reconsider your turbo option. Seems something a little softer downlow works best, as the quivk hard spooling 468 seems to be costing some guys motors here lately.

Just an observation of course. If price wasn't an issue, gtx4294r is a winner.

I have noticed that, seems that those 468's run too good. LOL

As to the gates, it seems like most of the guys with gates are also spraying their trucks. I don't really see the need for a gate on a fuel only truck, i'm not planning on going with one on mine.

most of these guys with these injectors and a 468 are running tunners that arent exactly known for being super mild. A lot of the tunes can be pretty aggressive and fuel hard, again thats why i like gearhead, allllll the power you need is mid and up top but just doesnt fuel hard enough down low to make your butt pucker up everytime you stand on it. Now if you rely on the truck for work/towing then you may need to reconsider your direction for reliability but in my situation. my trucks simply a weekend warrior/pavement princess so i dont mind a laggy turbo and all the power up top. but thats just my view on it

That depends on how fast you stab the skinny pedal on the right to the floor. Throttle position plays a big role in Matt's tunes. Most of the power comes on at >50% throttle.

very true, drives like a stock truck until you basically nail it. i do quarter throttle rolls to bring the Rpms up and truck rolling

no need for a wastegate with s468.
whats the cost difference to have it? if you go compounds later it would be nice to not have to add one

I have Matt's tunes as well on a forged rod motor and I love that driving around town it drives like stock, but when you get into it the turbo lights and man there's a lot of power there.
