So I'm about to trade my dually off and go back to a ccsb 350 or 250. What are the differences between a single wheel 350 and 250 aside from the rated payload ?

the height of the rear block, and the number on the side of them pretty much. I don't know if the 350's have higher spline axles or not

Yea I knew the blocks are different to. The 2011 duallys have 250 blocks so there's no difference for me there. I read a long time ago that the 11 250s didn't have the hydro boost brakes and that the rear end is slightly smaller. But does anyone know this for sure ?

Any of them 12 and up I believe all have vac boost brakes. The 11 350s are the only ones with hydro boost.

Vacuum works great I like the change

F350 11500 gvwr have 37 spline axles and a bigger pinion.

F250s have 2 leaf packs and f350s have a 3 leaf pack
Overloads are standard on F350 and an option on F250s
Both have the same trailer towing capacity at like 23900 combined
Some f350s have the big leafs et but are only rated at 10000 lbs

So in the case of hauling with a gooseneck which is the only thing I do that amounts to any weight , there should be no problem then with around 15-20k total trailer weight.

That's about how often I tow pretty heavy to. Seems I'll be just fine then. And then happy the other 90% of the time with a smaller more maneuverable truck LOL

yours has the bigger rear block too i see

haller just bought a f250 and it has the taller block as well

after reading thru some of the TSBs there were allot of complaints with the f250s sagging in the rear loaded so there is an actual update with the taller block, longer u-bolts ect to fix the problem. Looks like for went again and took care of that which is cool.

his truck has the snow plow package and is about level from the factory

See I need to raise the front a little possibly. And yes I did notice the 350 blocks in the rear , I compared it to my dad's 13 350. What does the ow package consist of? Or is there a way to get a leveling kit less than a full 2 inches ?

yeah they offer a 1.5 inch spacer, thats what i would do. His truck has 6000 lb coils in the front so the ride suffers, hes probably going to go to a softer spring and a spacer.

most leveling kits are 2.5

Mine seems to ride like a cloud , but I came from a 350 dually. It rode progressively rougher and rougher the longer I had it.
