Looking for pics of 35 inch a/t tires on stock 16's. Not sure if I want to put a/ts or m/t on the truck since it is 90% hwy driving just from an aesthetic point of view.
305 is the width fyi305 tire?
Are factory 16's wide enough for a 35?
I tried to put 35's on my factory 17's and town fair tire said not wide enough and wouldn't do it.

Not sure what issue you ran into  I ran 35s on factory 16s back in the day. I'm running 35s on 17s now and 37s on 18s. As long as you size the tire correctly, it shouldn't be a problem.

What size tire (width) are you running on 17's w/35's.
The shop said most 35's are about 12/12.5 in wide and would be to wide for a stock rim.
I have 10" wide 33's now and tire shop said that's about as wide as would safely recommend.

Why not just get a cheap set of 16.5 wheels? Then you can run cheap military tires too.
I'll have to look into 16's and the cost of that and military tires tomorrow. That could be a great idea

Something to consider, it was the best budget friendly option for me when I started running bigger tires on more than one lifted truck. I can find 16.5s all day around here, everyone is moving up to the bigger wheels and wheeling guys don't want them unless they bead lock them. Look around at military take offs, I usually find them for $100 local pick up or $120 a tire shipped for 35-37s. Can't beat that with a stick. lol I still run them on one of my trucks, honestly they've been great other than a little harder to balance.
I've debated doing that with a set of 16.5s and just running the cheapo/military tires in the summer. I wouldn't run them in winter tho.
I probably wouldn't as far north as you are. I don't have the winters you do. As long as you go radial, no complaints towing. First set I got was bias ply, they were more aggressive and did better off road, but I do too much towing to try to run them on a regular basis... they were too spongy even with a light load.
For the price, they're hard to beat. I've gotten more life out of them than some big name tires. They're not as showy, lack an aggressive side bite/have plain jane sidewalls, but they serve their purpose well.

So your saying military tires aren't recommend in the winter?
I have seen that once or twice also.
I drive up north in vt and by state every weekend in winter so if their going to suck then not even worth it.
I did like the idea though of being much cheaper but I also tow a good amount too

They pretty much all suck in snow. I think Joe is about the only person I have even known to say otherwise, but I wouldn't run them in winter.
Well guess I'm glad I figured that out now before I went and bought them.
I'll have to research first and see if can find a winter rated 35 also that will fit a 16/16.5 rim
