Whats everyone using? stock one is pretty worn.

want to keep the cargo lights white and was looking at some ebay led ones such as clear or smoked. any ones similar to the oem would be prefered.

I have had that same one for over a year with no problems and it looks awesome.

I do like that one but not sure how it would flow with my tail lights I have. I can't seem to find one that's red or similar to Oem that keeps the cargo lights

On my last truck I had a red lens led but it didn't keep the cargo lights which I didn't like but it matched the tails pretty good.

That is great to hear, didn't know how long they lasted. The LED's are pretty bright for what they are too. Only complaint is the chrome around the edge was blotched with black a little bit, doesn't matter because going to get color matched.

I'm in the same predicament, would like something that matches the 08'+ tails that isn't chrome or smoked that retains a cargo preferably. Not sure if a LED 3rd brake light will look out of place with non-LED tails . . .

think LED does match pretty well due to the shape of the bowl in the 08+ tails. the little squares makes it seem led when lit.

My understanding is that the Ranger 3rd brake light is the same as the SD, but the Ranger doesnot have the clear cargo lights. The coloring seems to match up nicely with the 08 tails. This is the rout I'm planning and under the bed rail LED cargo lights.

Here is an OEM Ranger light

A LED ebay light

And here is a clear ebay light that has been candied red.

i really like that candied one. might see what it would cost to candy the center of a clear one and leave the cargo lights clear and then clear the entire light

just use your old light, take it and use a buffer to restore its shine, tape it off the clear and then spray some VHT on them and then clear coat them.. thats how i did my tails and a few other sets

clear recon led brake light...bright as ***k...looks BA in person. The pictures dont do it justice.

I dont want anybody to take this the wrong way but those ebay lights look cool until somebody with recons pulls up next to them. Same goes for the 07 style headlights. Chrome or harley. The real thing just looks sooo much better. Thats why they cost $300 per set for chrome oem headlights.

Yea that looks good and ive done nightshade before but I painted the inside of these tails instead of nightshades and really don't want to change them up or go smoked/blacked out tails

What's the recon one run. I really think getting a clear one and painting the center candy red would look tits
