4-5 Transmission Squeal Help

You guys might hit up "dseitler" I think he is still on the stock transmission and has throw some pretty good amount of power at his truck. Maybe he could point you in the right direction for some good transmission tuning. Just a thought.

Once the Trans starts slipping they don't heal themselves. Unfortunately it doesn't matter what you do with tunes. We've been building them for guys with h&s, sct and all different tune writers. We have them built ready and on the shelf.

And unfortunately ford took clutches out of the 2015's and basically made them weaker.

We have been doing a ton of 6r's lately.

Took that metal out of the clutches to make a bigger turbo.

Before you do a all out build on a transmission can you just update the clutches with heavier ones, or is it just a better idea to get a built one? I'm talking cost wise and for that fact that if you just do clutches what's going to be the next weak link, converter?

For the money saved it wouldn't be worth it.

Converter is the weak link. But it's going to take 900+ to hurt the converter imo..

So I am hoping to get a warrantied tranny....

So "if" I get it it is probably worth it then to just take the tranny somewhere and have some weak links fixed?

I wonder what the saving are with a good tranny and having it fixed or the weak spots built vs a hole new built tranny

Is a guy able to do this swap without lifting the cab and still get to everything? It has been a few years, but I did a few 460 and C6 swaps back in the day without too much trouble or fancy lifts and such. Can a guy do one of these on his back with a jack or is that all out the window now?

You can swap the Trans from underneath. You can put another stock one in. Maybe they went back to the early design. Other than that, I would hope for the best.

I know I'm not the only person to destroy a 15 trans. Or an 11.....

That is a small ray of hope. Thanks for the info. Hope it helps others as well. I'm going to run down the road for a while and save some cash to pull this one off. When the time is right, I will be in touch.

Got a buddies 12 6.7 here making a clunk/squeal 1-2 shift truck got 21K had the sound since 5K tuned since 1K spartan 200 tune. Transmission giving up?

Crap. I kinda bought my ford thinking the trans was good for 500rwhp or so. Disappointed that I'm gonna need a trans. The good thing is that it sounds like Midwest has them dialed unlike the Dodge trans' that go in and out over and over until you find a good one...I've had enough of that.

Whaaat! I thought that color looks nice, and it doesn't clash with the array of orange, blue and red transmissions that about 20 other shops use...

This is Jared's trans with a deep pan on it. Imo it looks clean.
