Reaction time has zero to do with et or trap. Quit your bull**** and get back to humping your dyno.

Take out reaction time and I still stand by my comment...

PS... don't be mad that your track does not put out like my dyno does LOL

It's a dyno... Some trucks don't dyno well, some dynos lie...

I agree with this 100%...

You sure he didn't have a boost leak? Taylor's truck had an insane boost leak, which is why he didn't do all that well on the dyno at Dyno Proven (538rwhp w/ Barder Stage 3 and 205/100). I've seen several trucks have disappointing performances on the dyno, but we know their trucks are strong. Still, sucks to get crappy numbers when you have so much invested in the motor.

Like everyone said, take it to the track. (and find the boost leak :))

Taylor had a blown bellow in his Y-pipe. That's a drive pressure leak not boost. Either though would cause a serious lack of power.

Well my other buddy with his 6.4 dynoed 546hp at this dyno on the same exact setup as he made 540hp on at another dyno. Fuel pressure I have no idea. Towing an empty 20ft enclosed trailer to the event he was running 1300* on the highway in his tow tune. He claims bad tuning but I know there is more to it.

Running 1300* sustained, on flat ground?? Something is wrong. First off 1300* sustained is too hot. Second, if he was running that hot in a tow tune while cruising, he has something going on. Id start by checking for boost leaks or drive pressure leaks. Seems like a lot of guys have had y-pipe issues as of late, maybe another blown bellow?

Just for reference, I can tow a 26ft Kronkite deck over trailer with Kubota L5460 w/ loader and bush hog during the summer on my SPD tune and cruise at around 775-850*.

Lol 2 blown bellows and a cracked y-pipe. I'll try and get Justin to send me a pic to post up. I agree with Matt though! 1300 running flat ground is an issue. With my y-pipe all f'd up pulling up TN mountain slopes I was barely hitting 1400 and that's with 205/100's. I as well have an 8inch lift and 37's.

Tracks can be off just like dyno's. There are a lot more variables going on than most guys care to give credit for.

All of these will affect and change Et and/or trap speed (not always both)...

Altitude
Tire height
temperature
humidity
wheel spin
shifting (even with a lazy auto)
track prep
wind gusts
reaction time
60ft
lift kits (aerodynamics)

I have seen people pick up a few mph with changes that had nothing to do with the hp of the vehicle. That can mean a "50hp" difference just with a few mph when in fact the hp did not change at all. I am not bashing on the track... but it seems that some people think that it is an end all win all perfect system... :badidea:

Dyno's and Track can both be used in positive ways... but they can both be misleading

The difference here is two guys could get in the same truck and just flat foot it down the track and likely be pretty consistent (if the truck is consistent). You very well may have your dyno setup worked out very well, but the next operator in line could make that dyno swing 100hp lower or 100hp higher if they don't know what they're doing. To me, the track is a more consistent reading. It's not to say a dyno couldn't be close or used consistently, but I could go to three different tracks in my area and get close to the same times. If I go to three different dyno shops, do you think my numbers will be the same or close? Maybe!?
