4r100 double ratio and increased stability

I’m reading online and a guy says...

Unlocked front hubs, 4low engaged = essentially doubling ratio and increased stability while towing heavy.

I called BS. I could be wrong and I’ll always admit if I’m wrong but that logic makes no dang sense.

This is like another ill-logic from a member on these forums saying without a doubt the 4r is a 6 speed if you use the OD button on each shift.

Anyone?

Both statements are complete bs. Sure, use 4lo if you are trying to pull out a stump or trying to get an insanely heavy trailer unstuck. For road driving? No way...rpms thru the roof.
