Getting ready to put cab lights on my truck. Debating if I should put 5 or 7 on. Both would be evenly spaced. I don't like the stock cluster look in the middle. My buddy put 7 on his 99 and I thought it looked good. Wanted to see if anybody had any pics of trucks with 7 or 5 evenly spaced to help me make a decision.

haha, alright. 5 it is. That's what I was leaning towards anyway. Any difference between pacer and recon?

Some have seemed to have trouble with Recon's but mine have been on the truck for about 4 years and I haven't had a single issue.

5 lights with stock center cluster spacing. I dislike the evenly spaced lights, and really dislike more than 5, but to each their own.

As far as Pacer vs Recon...

I have installed probably 7 or 8 sets of lights on various trucks. I have had the most problems with Recons, fogging lenses, faded yellow color after several months on the clear lenses, screws that rust after a few months, etc. Holding them side by side, the Pacers seem to be a much higher quality feeling product. I never had one issue out of the Pacers I installed.

go w/ the recon, but get a set of the "smoked" lens. this will eliminate any issues that Recons have regarding plastics. I had a set on my F150 and never had an issue w/ them. Just use tons of silicone, both under and around all the screws, and nothing will rust.

i personally say go 5, and just change up the spacing. i did that on my .5T. I'll dig around for some pics of the install if interested... just let me know so I know to start diggin.

Yup, all of the Recon's I installed required gobs of silicone to prevent fogging. None of the Pacers I installed required any silicone at all.
