55 watt HIDs and Tinted Headlights

Anyone running 55 watt HID's with tinted OEM headlight housings? I'm sure someone is, just wanted to be assured that heat and melting the headlight wont be a problem.

I have HIDs and painted headlight bezels unless you mean tinted headlight lens then I do not have that.

If you're referring to a tinted lens, I wouldn't even consider it. I tried it on one of my f150s a while back and light output was terrible even with hids.

I agree. I never had lens tint on headlights but I did on tails and those were hard to see light thru.
