6.0 04 issue any ideas?

Hey so my buddy has a 04 and he says when driving on the hwy if he floors it it will get to about 50 then start to " have issues like running out of fuel then if he keeps going it will die no check engine light runs fine up to that point. Any ideas what to look at or where to start looking/ what gauges to monitor fuel rail pressure or anything. Also hits 30 psi of boost then goes down after that. Thanks

Get fuel pressure and ICP when this occurs. A scan tool can read ICP for sure, not sure about fuel pressure.

That is way low. I run that cruising down town. It should be up around 3600 if I remember right.

He says he thinks it was 29 percent at idle for the hpop double checking now

How old is the pump? Is it early or late build? Does the exhaust still have the meower in it? Had one that threw me for a loop with a plugged kitty. It only had 2000psi at wot, but was only commanding 2000 psi.
