6.4 cab removal tips

Do you have to Evac the A/C system on 6.4's or can you unbolt the compressor and lift it up with the cab like on the 7.3's?

Evac. The compressor is pretty much buried.

Dang it, I was hoping not, but figured after looking at pictures on google that it would be to deep to get out.
guess it isn't a huge deal to have it Evac'ed tho

I did my first cab pull last weekend and to me by far the worst part were the cab bolts. First I welded the two in the radiator support, then decided that MAP gas was the best way you can get the torch to all the tops of the bolts my truck is a crew cab. You have to pull the carpet up some it's pain to say the least but with map gas heat the impact took them right out. You have to remove the inner fender well to get the torch to the 2 bolts behind there. Just the way I found easiest to do it, don't even attempt to spin them out without heat they will spin out the cage immediately with an impact.
