Okay so here is some pics of my fuel filters from my 6.4. There's only 9100 miles on these filters and I change them every oil change. Motorcraft filters from ford. I drain the water separator every month. How does the secondary bowl look?

Fueling source?

Usually people do fuel filtered every other oil change or every three changes. I know the owners manual calls for oil changes every 10k but that's not recommended by anyone on this sight. Most people do 5000-7500 depending on your driving condition, idle time and oil you are using. Always use ford filters

Wow you are asking for major trouble with 10, 000 mile oil changes. evey engine builder I know that builds diesel ford motors say change oil every 5, 000 miles. I change mine every 5, 000 max. Fuel filters every 10, 000.

yup gotcha .This was the first time I did it at 10,000 I usually do it every 6500-7500. I change the fuel filters every oil change though. But I use either rottela T6 or royal purple for the oil and ford filters. ford cetane booster or diesel kleen booster every fill up. I cant fiqure out why the fuel filters are that dirty.

I run my oil 10,000 miles too. Schaeffers 9000 series 5w-40 full synthetic. Oil analysis says it can go much longer if needed.

We love it. Run it in all the powerstrokes that come through our shop. Run it the series 60 detroits in our prevost charter buses. We are a dealer but we usually just order bulk drums. I could get you our salesmanship number and he can get you setup I'm sure

I changed to Mobil 1 turbo diesel this oil change and I am going to probably take it to 10k. I was doing rotella 15w-40 every 5k and fuel every 10k. I know of plenty of people running 10-15k oil changes on HPOP trucks and other common rails on conventional oil, not even running full syn. I know this is a little different as there is more oil, but we change the oil in the Pete's every 18k, some we let go to 24k, and some even go 30k if we happen to be out of oil when it comes in and it is turning, but this is all on Rotella 15w-40 with some trucks over 2 million miles. One guy takes the oil that has been run and puts it in his 7.3 when he changes the oil instead of buying oil without ever a problem in his truck
